Judge Rules Dominion Voting Systems Can’t Address Jan. 6 During Fox News Trial

-

A judge in Delaware has ruled that Dominion Voting System's lawyers may not reference the Jan. 6, 2021, U.S. during its upcoming defamation trial against Fox News.

Delaware Superior Court Judge Eric Davis ruled Tuesday during a pretrial conference that references to Jan. 6 could skew the jury's view of the case and Dominion's claims against Fox are not about whether it “influenced,” the attack on the Capitol.

“That may be for another court at another time, but it's not for this court at this time,” Davis said, CNN reported.

filed a $1.6 billion lawsuit in 2021 following the presidential election. The company argues Fox News' airing of claims of voter fraud propagated by former President Donald Trump and his allies defamed the company and caused irreparable damage to its credibility.

Fox has fiercely defended itself on First Amendment grounds and has argued the network was covering the allegations being made by the then-President because they were newsworthy.

“This case is and always has been about the First Amendment protections of the 's absolute right to cover the news,” Fox said in a recent statement about the case. “Fox will continue to fiercely advocate for the rights of free speech and a free press as we move into the next phase of these proceedings.”

Last week, Judge Davis ruled Dominion could call top Fox Corp. executives like Rupert and Lachlan Murdoch as witnesses to testify during a jury trial, which is slated to begin on Monday. (RELATED: Rupert Murdoch Can Be Forced To Testify In Defamation Trial)

Earlier this month Judge Davis handed Dominion a significant win by ruling the company had proven the first key element of their claim: that the network's statements about the company and the 2020 election were false.

  3. By virtue of the Judges earlier ruling; he ignored all of the evidence to the contrary. That ruling pushes the balance toward the side of Dominion.

  4. Dominion management has reportedly openly confessed that their software is ridden with ‘bugs.’ All this makes me wonder whether some of the bugs belong to the Chop Suey Network and report to Chairman You-Know-Who. Maybe it’s time to revert to paper ballots. Now I know the DemoCreeps would raise hell, but hey, it’s the future of our nation at stake.

  5. Hopefully the god worshiping, irs CRIMINAL organization will use some of their 86,000 employees to investigate their god worshiping, demonrat criminal voter scammers claiming they are making $80 an hour .
