Russian President Vladimir Putin said he was ready and willing to meet with President-elect Donald Trump.
Putin told reporters that he and Trump, who has touted his relationship with the Russian leader, would have “a lot to talk about.”

“What can I offer to the President-elect Trump when we meet? First of all, I don’t know when we will meet because he doesn’t say anything about it,” Putin said Thursday morning during a press conference on state-sponsored television.
“I haven’t spoken to him for more than four years, and I am ready for it, of course, at any time,” he added. “I will be ready for a meeting if he wants it.”
Despite criticism over the war against Ukraine, Putin said he was open to negotiations that would require compromise.
“Politics is the art of compromise. And we have always said that we are ready for both negotiations and compromises,” he said.
“It is just that the opposite side — in the literal and figurative sense of the word — refused to negotiate. And we are always ready for this,” the Russian leader said. “The result of these negotiations is always compromise.”
It’s unclear if Trump will agree to a sit-down with Putin to discuss the war in Ukraine ahead of his inauguration, although the president-elect has been meeting with foreign leaders in recent weeks, including inviting them to his Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida and his inauguration ceremony.
Argentinian President Javier Milei confirmed that he accepted an invitation to attend the upcoming inauguration of President-elect Donald Trump in Washington this January.
The news was first reported by Bloomberg, citing an Argentine government spokesperson. A spokesperson for Milei confirmed the news, according to CBS News. Milei recently echoed Trump’s slogan and took to social media to show his support.

There are, of course, TWO VERY POTENTIAL GUESTS to the INAUGURATION who are, at present, under an INTERNATIONAL ARREST WARRANT:
– Israeli PM NETANYAHU: UNDER CHARGES OF GENOCIDE – an the basis of (corpses under rubble included) far over 50,000 PEOPLE KILLED INDISCRIMINATELY (i.e. very few armed ones but mostly women and children)
– Russian President PUTIN: UNDER CHARGES OF KIDNAPPING – on the basis of officers of his government ordered CHILDREN EVACUATED FROM WAR ZONE DANGERS (from a mostly RUSSIAN POPULATED REGION!).
ONE MIGHT, OF COURSE, WONDER WHY SUCH AN “INTERNATIONAL” (but mostly NATO) “COURT” CAN BE SO LAWFUL AND UNLAWFUL AT THE SAME TIME?
But where and when did we last anything normal and just in a context where politicians were involved?
