US Capitol Threatened: Police Arrest Protesters Demanding End To Military Deployments

On June 13, 2025, U.S. Capitol Police arrested a group of roughly 60 demonstrators attempting to breach a police line outside the Capitol Building to protest the deployment of military forces in domestic law enforcement roles. The protesters demanded the withdrawal of National Guard and Marine units from cities like Los Angeles, where troops had been mobilized in response to recent immigration enforcement actions.

The unrest came hours before nationwide demonstrations denouncing what organizers describe as President Trump’s authoritarian overreach — including the use of military force against civilian unrest. Capitol Police stated that the demonstrators were arrested for unlawfully demonstrating, citing a violation of D.C. Code § 22–1307, which prohibits crowding, obstructing, or incommoding public spaces.

CNN has additional details from the scene:

A group of approximately 75 protesters were demonstrating peacefully at the Supreme Court, just across the street from the US Capitol, according to a statement from the Capitol Police. As the group was leaving the area, officers began establishing a perimeter of bike racks to keep the protesters away from the Capitol.

“A few people pushed the bike rack down and illegally crossed the police line while running towards the Rotunda Steps,” the Capitol Police said. “Our officers immediately blocked the group and began making arrests.”

Police said, “All will be charged with unlawful demonstration and crossing a police line. Additional charges for some will include assault on a police officer and resisting arrest.”

One law enforcement official told CNN the demonstrators were part of a veterans’ group protesting fascism. CNN has reached out to the group but has not heard back. It wasn’t immediately clear how many organizations were involved in the protest.

The arrests underscore rising friction between federal authorities and progressive demonstrators opposing the administration through increasingly confrontational methods.

What will happen with this left wing madness is, someone will lose their life during the senseless demonstrations. then all hell will break out.

In many other countries, they would have been SHOT as they started causing trouble. The L.E. community does not get enough credit for the restraint that they show to protesters.

Go ahead, try this in China, Russia, or N. Korea !
    I’ll watch !
