James O'Keefe is no longer the leader of Project Veritas.
After Project Veritas' board placed him on paid leave to investigate claims of employer abuse and allegations that he wasted the nonprofit's money on his musical theater dreams, O'Keefe was either removed or submitted his resignation.
Initial reports aren't clear.
According to O'Keefe's allies, he read his resignation letter in front of his former team and board members at Project Veritas' Mamaroneck, New York headquarters.
It's unclear what O'Keefe plans to do next.
Reaction from movement conservatives on social media has poured in and has been fierce.

Founder and CEO of investigative journalism organization Project Veritas is reportedly leaving the company he founded in 2011. This comes after some 16 staffers tried to oust him from the leadership of his own company, claiming, among other things, that he was difficult to work for and once even stole a sandwich, resulting in a dispute within the Board of Directors.
Shortly after McCabe's announcement, Project Veritas' RC Maxwell stated that the report was not accurate and that O'Keefe was in fact removed as CEO by the Board.
After the 16 staffers sent the letter to the Project Veritas board of directors in early February, “James O'Keefe IS Project Veritas” began to trend on Twitter. Many supporters and donors all balked at the idea that Veritas could continue without O'Keefe at the helm and prominent conservatives gave their support for O'Keefe.
Project Veritas hemorrhaged followers in the wake of the news, with staff and board attempting to continue without the man who made the company what it is.

I hope this board knows what they are doing because I think they just submarined Project Veritas.

I disagree. Who gives anyone the right to take someone else’s property? I consider that a crime, and yes, it SHOULD be a punishable offense.

Believing in someone’s ulterior motive is good, but ignoring someone’s acts is bad. Stealing is a crime, sandwich, money, whatever. And misusing funds is also fraud. Overlooking crimes committed destroys the credibility of the criminal committing the crimes. Just like Biden spends your tax dollars for everyone in the world except you should make you furious. But are you?
Money and power and poothy are the downfall of many men.
So, just because the project was started by O’Keefe does not mean that the project should not continue under the guidance of a less corrupted individual. Allowing corruption at any level is equal to condoning acts of crime in the name of “the greater good”, such as when Biden threatened to withhold a billion dollars unless a prosecutor investigating Biden’s son’s position in Burisma is somehow “good” for the USA. I consider the Biden administration no more than an Americanized Mafia crime family. And please note: That is MY OPINION, nothing more. You may find that opinion “offensive”, but that is the freedom of speech. You may just be as offensive to me as I am to you. Not a problem if done with respect, but a problem most of the younger generation today cannot seem to understand is that respect begets respect, and disrespect begets disrespect.
