The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is reporting record traffic to its official website, with one of the most visited pages providing information on self-deportation through the CBP Home App.
According to DHS, website traffic rose 68.49% compared to 2024, with the department recording 102 million page views and 67 million unique visitors last year. That marks a major jump from 40 million page views in 2024, DHS said.
A DHS spokesperson credited the surge to the second Trump administration’s aggressive policy shift on border enforcement and public transparency.
“Under the leadership of President Donald J. Trump and Secretary Noem, DHS celebrated one of the most consequential periods of action and reform in American history in 2025,” a spokesperson from DHS told Fox News Digital in a statement. “From delivering the most secure border ever and removing dangerous criminal illegal aliens, to fixing disaster response and ushering in a golden age of travel, DHS will continue to build upon this success and innovate to find ways to deliver for the American people.”
DHS also announced plans to launch a redesigned website aimed at improving transparency and making the agency’s resources easier for the public to navigate.
“This redesigned website is another example of that commitment to innovation and being the most transparent administration in American history,” the spokesperson added.
A key driver of public interest appears to be the CBP Home App, a DHS-backed mobile tool that allows illegal migrants in the United States to voluntarily return to their home countries.
The app was launched last March at the start of the second Trump administration and is intended to support self-deportation efforts.
DHS has reported that tens of thousands of illegal migrants have already used the app to self-deport. The agency also offers a $1,000 stipend to individuals who successfully self-deport, along with “financial and travel assistance to facilitate travel back to their home country.”
In addition to increased web engagement, DHS has also rolled out new digital tools designed to keep Americans informed about enforcement actions. One of the most prominent additions is the “Worst of the Worst” website, which spotlights the most dangerous criminal illegal migrants apprehended by DHS.
The page highlights rapists, murderers, child predators, and other illegal migrants who were either convicted or faced serious charges in the U.S.
DHS’s website growth comes as the department points to what it describes as historic enforcement outcomes in the first year of President Trump’s second term.
“In President Trump’s first year back in office, nearly 3 million illegal aliens have left the U.S. because of the Trump administration’s crackdown on illegal immigration, including an estimated 2.2 million self-deportations and more than 675,000 deportations,” DHS Secretary Kristi Noem said in a statement.
