The NFL confirmed that the pro-Palestine protester who exposed a flag during the halftime show of Super Bowl LIX was one of the 400 hired dancers.
During Kendrick Lamar’s halftime performance, one of the dancers climbed on top of the car that was displayed on stage and unveiled a Sudanese and Palestinian flag. Written on the flag was “Sudan” and “Gaza,” referencing the respective crises occurring in both regions.

According to a report from ESPN, the New Orleans Police Department is “working to determine applicable charges in this incident.”
Also in the report was a statement from the NFL confirming no one knew about the dancer’s plan before it happened.
“The individual hid the item on his person and unveiled it late in the show,” the statement read. “No one involved with the production was aware of the individual’s intent.”
Roc Nation, the entertainment company that produced Sunday night’s show, said the act “was neither planned nor part of the production and was never in any rehearsal.”
As noted by ESPN, the show was not interrupted by the demonstration; and due to when it occurred during the performance, it did not appear on the broadcast.

Last week, Trump surprised the world in a joint press conference with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that he intends for the United States to take over the Gaza Strip and assist in its redevelopment.
“The U.S. will take over the Gaza Strip, and we will do a job with it, too,” Trump said Tuesday evening in a joint press conference with Netanyahu. “We’ll own it and be responsible for dismantling all of the dangerous, unexplored bombs and other weapons on the site.”
“Level the site and get rid of the destroyed buildings, level it out, create an economic development that will supply unlimited numbers of jobs and housing for the people of the area,” he said. “Do a real job. Do something different. Just can’t go back. If you go back, it’s going to end up the same way it has for 100 years.”
