Bill Barr: ‘Good Chance’ Prosecutors Will Indict Trump At Least Once More

-

In an appearance on ABC's “This Week,” former Attorney General predicted that there's a “good chance” prosecutors will indict former President at least one more time.

Speaking to host , Barr argued that Trump “dug himself a hole” on the criminal investigations for Jan. 6 and the “documents case in Mar-a-Lago.”

Of the four criminal investigations into Trump, Barr said the classified documents case should be Trump's biggest concern. The onetime AG stated, “He had no claim to those documents, especially the classified documents. They belonged to the …the government is investigating the extent to which games were played, and there was obstruction in keeping documents from them. And I think that's a serious potential case. I think they probably have some very good evidence there.”

Barr also commented on Manhattan District Attorney 's indictment of the former president. (RELATED: Jordan Subpoenas Pair Of New York Prosecutors In Probe Of Politics Behind Trump Arrest)

As The Daily Wire reports:

Barr said that he believes that the Manhattan case, where Trump was just indicted on 34 felony counts, was incredibly weak and that it was a “clear example” of weaponizing the justice system for political gain.

Barr said that he believes that Democrats are trying to use the investigations to “get into the middle of the Republican primary process and turn it into a circus.”

“And I think, ultimately, the savvy Democratic strategists know this is going to help Trump, and they want him to be the nominee because he is the weakest of the Republican candidates, the most likely to lose again to Biden,” Barr warned.

Barr's remarks resembled former Gov. 's, who boasted on the same program that Trump was “the only Republican Biden can beat.”

The RealClearPolitics polling average from late February through early April shows Trump leading the current president by an average of 1.8 points.

  1. Of course not one comment on the hundreds of docs Biden kept before he was President. Barr has an agenda just like the demon-crats – they are afraid of Trump and only pretend to want him to run, so they can claim he is the weakest candidate and hope others will be fooled not to vote for him. Liars, Liars, Liars everyone of them. Barr knows Trump will get to the bottom of his betrayal and the dirt the swamp has on him that caused him to turn on Trump. Payback is the price of politics.
