Bill O’Reilly Bashes Trump for Repeated Interviews With New York Times Journalist

-

Bill O'Reilly knows a thing or two about savvy having reigned as the king of cable news for 13 years.

O'Reilly is also an old friend of former President , having known him for decades. That well-documented camaraderie makes it somewhat surprising the legend slammed the former president recently. More specifically, O'Reilly took offense to Trump's decision to be interviewed three times by Times journalist after “she slashed him for six years.”

It should be noted O'Reilly was sympathetic to Trump in other ways. In the first clip below, he defends Trump from anonymous allegations and calls out the 's hypocrisy.

O'Reilly's comments about Haberman's relationship with Trump came later during his interview with ex--turned-NewsNation anchor (see video number two).

WATCH:

Haberman, a Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist, interviewed Trump last year for her book about the 45th president, “Confidence Man: The Making of Donald Trump and the Breaking of America.”

By her own admission, Haberman has covered Trump more than any other reporter at The New York Times. That, coupled with the newspaper's prominent status, especially in New York, has led Haberman to speculate that despite Trump's attacks on the paper he desperately wants its approval.

The Hill has more on Haberman's latest book:

“The goal had always been to try to show the animating forces … about the world he came from and what shaped him and how he exported that to Washington, D.C., and to the White House and then to the , and it lives on in our ,” Haberman said on Thursday. “That had been the goal and, while I felt like I understood it previously, I think I have a richer understanding of certain aspects.”

Haberman's “Confidence Man” reveals a number of new insights into the Trump White House, including that the former president considered bombing Mexican drug labs, quipped that Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) “kisses my ass” to get endorsements and called Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell “piece of shit.”

So, what do you think? Does Bill O'Reilly have a point and should he have shared his concerns with Trump privately?

  1. Just have to laugh at how everyone O’Reilly, Haberman and so many others think their opinion of a celebrity or politician is important. They always fail to hone in on the important issues. They are more like celebrities that mouth off to get attention.

  2. Bill O’Reilly is very jealous of President Trump. He tried telling Trump how to run his 2016 election to no avail.

  3. Oh, let’s see – sounds like obumble’s right hand man (remember oh, really’s softball interviews with obumble) is whining because he ain’t getting the same kind of treatment!

  4. Trump should not have done an interview with her because she is a dempCRAP hack. She will lie about everything he said.
