Dem Blames Biden’s Approval Blues On Minority Voters’ Inability To Understand ‘How Any Of This Works’

-

Rep. (D-Texas) had a less-than-stellar cable news appearance Sunday.

The trouble came when Crockett attempted to explain away former President Trump's lead in five of six swing states (all of which Biden won last time) in the latest New York Times/Siena College poll.

Among the survey's most startling findings was the revelation that Biden is hemorrhaging support among , especially young Blacks and Hispanics. Biden's approval among nonwhite voters has plummeted a whopping 33 points since 2020, according to The Times.

Trump's support among Black voters stands at 22%, unheard of numbers for recent Republican candidates in presidential elections.

Indeed, the more diverse the state, the worse Biden performed. In Nevada, Trump enjoys a 10-point advantage over the incumbent president.

Attempting to explain how Biden could come back, Crockett ended up tripping over a political minefield.

The freshman lawmaker claimed that have shifted toward Trump because “feelings are dictating their reality,” rappers like Trump and, most egregiously, they aren't “understanding exactly how any of this works.”

Naturally, her comments ignited widespread backlash and ridicule on X, formerly Twitter:

It seems unlikely Crockett's take will persuade Hispanic voters who “are much likelier to say their finances would improve under Trump than Mr. Biden” and the majority of “Black voters [who] do not expect their finances to change if Mr. Biden wins again,” a CBS News/YouGov poll published Sunday concluded, concurring with The Times.
