A well-known former Republican senator doesn't plan to support Donald Trump in the 2024 November election – or Kamala Harris for that matter.
Former Pennsylvania Senator Pat Toomey said during an interview on CNBC that he voted for Trump in 2016 and 2020 but is firmly against casting a ballot for Trump again.
“When you lose an election and you try to overturn the results so that you can stay in power, you lose me. You lose me at that point,” Toomey said during a contentious back-and-forth exchange with “Squawk Box” host Joe Kernen.
WATCH:
Toomey acknowledged he doesn't support Harris and views many of her policies as economically disastrous.
“I acknowledge that the outcome is a binary situation, but my choice is not,” Toomey said when Kernen insisted the former senator would in essence be voting to benefit Harris by not voting for Trump.
“It is an acceptable position for me to say that neither of these candidates can be my choice for president,” Toomey said.
Toomey argued Republican control of the Senate would be “essential” to keep Harris in check if she's elected to the Oval Office.
“The answer to that is Republican control of the Senate and that is absolutely essential,” he said of the prospect of Harris proposing major tax increases as president.
“If the other side runs the table, then Katie bar the door. They will repeal the filibuster, and they will be dragged by their left wing, which clearly is in charge now — and I think Kamala Harris proved that with her vice presidential selection,” he warned, referring to Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz.
He predicted Harris would push “huge tax increases” and “some version of ‘Medicare for All'” if she is elected president.
“The good news is I think Republicans are going to take the Senate,” he said.

I am sure that no one really cares what he thinks are has to say. What he is telling the AMERICAN PEOPLE is that he is willing to waste his VOTE. This is the type of people that we as a COUNTRY do not need even as a DOG CATCHER. People that want to right this Country will never listen to someone that is telling them they DON’T CARE ABOUT THE USA. He is just like Kamala you get the GOVERNMENT YOU VOTE FOR.
I don’t know if Toomey is aware of the US Constitution or US History. As a Harvard alum, there is a good chance he wasn’t taught about either.
So, as a good citizen, I’ll fill in the gaps.
The question of electoral legitimacy was addressed by:
“The Electoral Count Act of 1887 (ECA) (Pub. L.Tooltip Public Law (United States) 49–90, 24 Stat. 373,[1] later codified at Title 3, Chapter 1[2]) is a United States federal law that added to procedures set out in the Constitution of the United States for the counting of electoral votes following a presidential election. ..Under the Twelfth Amendment, the vice president (as President of the Senate) opens the electoral certificates. The act clarified the vice president’s limited role in the count…
In other words, Congress and the Founding Fathers did not have blind religious faith in the honesty of those who vociferously proclaimed it. So, the role of the Vice President was to certify not only the numbers but also whether the election was, or appeared to be, legitimate.
The Vice President can’t overturn the election, and Trump was not trying to do so. He asked Michael “the Meek” Pence not to certify the election until questions of electoral fraud or interference were resolved. Subsequent history proved him right. The Left and their media House Organs went on a full-court slander and smother offensive to change the subject from electoral fraud to Trump trying to overturn the election. If the elections are unfair, the legitimacy of the Government is called into question.
The entire Jan. 6 Woke Reichstag fire-like deception was to prevent a review of all the documented cheating and have those calling it out condemned. This has been the historical pattern of tyrants. In this case, they won. The Checks and Balances didn’t function, and electoral fraud was legitimized. Around half the population is aghast, while the other half, including the Republican Party leadership, either agreed because they are ignorant and weak-minded or because they were intimidated and corrupt.
So what we have now is self-righteous sedition that has divided the country by using Orwellian linguistic tricks. If this is allowed to stand, the US will divide, fall, or fall victim to totalitarian dictatorship. The change will occur over the next couple of years. Too many people have no idea what an economic and political collapse will bring. It’s a heck of a way to get an education, but it is often the default choice made by decadent societies.
Good then Vote for Zero
