Kathy Griffin Says She Has PTSD After Tweeting Gory Trump Photo

-

Looking back on the photo session that derailed her career, comedian is speaking out about her .

Griffin's life forever changed in 2017 after a photoshoot involving a bloodied prop head of former President went viral. The incident resulted in the loss of her CNN New Year's Eve co-host job and numerous standup performance opportunities.

Griffin revealed her latest struggles on social in a video with a blurred filter that she said captured how she felt on the inside.

As Breitbart reports:

Griffin said she did not know if Instagram would be the appropriate place to bare her thoughts on the matter and decided to share for the good of others.

“I have been diagnosed with complex and for the last year and a half I have been plagued with terrifying panic attacks,” she said. “Sometimes they last a few hours or more typically, they last at least a full day if not multiple days in a row. I feel silly even telling you this, because I always thought PTSD was just for veterans and stuff. During my attacks, I typically vomit quite a bit and often have to go to the ER just to get IV fluids. Anybody else?”

In a video posted last Friday, Griffin said she recently had an eight-hour panic attack.

“I had a freaking eight-hour attack yesterday. Eight hours of freaking writhing in pain in the bed,” Griffin said. “I felt like one might be coming on, so I started to feel a little iffy. So I'm on my walk now … which is helpful.”

Griffin told ABC's “Nightline” in 2021 that her life spiraled out of control after facing intense backlash for the bloody Trump photos. The comedian added that she attempted suicide in June 2020.

  1. What does Griffin want from us? She did this to herself. She acted in a very gross and disrespectful manner and that cost her a lot of business and money. Not our problem. She brought this on herself.

  2. Maybe, just maybe and if she gets under the wing and start to support majority supporters of president Trump, she will get much better. In this time, under Biden administration, no wonder that people are diagnosed with PTSD.

  3. You can call it PTSD, but it’s really TDS, and it started with vicious hatred. Too many Dems were sucked into it. The anger goes past what the human psyche can normally tolerate and manifests itself in areas of weakness. The news media poured it out, and you siphoned it in gladly. If you want to get over this, you need to get right with God. You sucked in lethal amounts of vile, and only the Lord can give you the peace you need to counteract the poison. A whole team of psychologists couldn’t help you. Find a priest or preacher you can trust, and give it over to God.
Actually, we’re pretty much all in the same way.

  4. She’s got PTSD alright – Positive Trump Syndrome Derangement.

And, she also got severely pummeled with an ugly stick at an early age.

  5. Lord knows, God knows, this comedian WILL feel better if they start getting closer to God have a relationship with God Almighty, repent for past behavior and see ALL the good that President Trump, (while not perfect, Lord knows NOBODY is perfect) did for this country. Period and end of discussion! Now take action!!!!

  6. If I remember correctly, Ms. Griffin also said at an awards show after receiving an award essentially suck it Jesus, this award is my God now.

Only the power of Jesus Christ can heal her and take away the suffering. It is my sincere hope that she would find peace and solace through repentance and seeking grace and forgiveness from Jesus.

  7. Unfortunately, not everyone knows how to agree to disagree, and they allow their disdain to enable anger that ferments and sustains hostility both internally and externally.
When in such a state best advice is simply get over it, move on, and create a positive and better pathway a sustainable relationship with family and friends knowing how to apologize when necessary and especially when deserving.

  8. Kathy, I was a fan at one time. We went to your show in Joliet I think. Your show wasn’t aimed at me. I hung in there til the end but I was really disappointed. When you did the Trump attack I walked away from you and your style of comedy. You talk too fast and I didn’t laugh. The Trump wasnt funny. You lost me

  9. So am I suposed to be sorry for this pile of Dung? She made her bed, time for her to lie in it. She is a horrid human, and should be put in a Leper colony.
