Just months after the dramatic dismissal of James O’Keefe, the infamous undercover-video bomb-thrower, Project Veritas, a registered 501c3 non-profit organization, has retaliated with a legal offensive against its former boss.
On Wednesday, Project Veritas filed a complaint against O’Keefe in federal court in the southern district of New York, according to The Daily Caller.
“Being known as the founder of an organization does not entitle that person to run amok and put his own interests ahead of that organization,” the suit states.
Allegations against O’Keefe extend beyond personal misuse of Project Veritas’ funds for trivialities like laundry, boat cleaning, and other miscellaneous errands. He is additionally accused of expropriating Project Veritas’ donor file, leveraging it to raise funds for his new venture.
The suit argues the board became aware of “serious allegations by Project Veritas employees about incredibly troubling workplace and financial misconduct by O’Keefe.” The suit cited allegations of screaming at coworkers, “targeting” female employees and creating “strained” relationships with donors.

In February, the Project Veritas board placed O’Keefe on paid leave to investigate claims of employer abuse and allegations he misused company funds.
According to O’Keefe’s allies, he read his resignation letter in front of his former team and board members at Project Veritas’ Mamaroneck, New York headquarters.
Earlier this spring O’Keefe established a new for-profit investigative journalism group, O’Keefe Media Group (OMG).
