Former President Donald Trump is escalating his war of words against Fox News.
Trump's latest salvo on Truth Social comes as he has seen his support in the Republican presidential primary grow exponentially following his indictment by a Manhattan grand jury. (RELATED: Woman With Rifle Spotted At Trump Tower, SWAT Responds)
Not all polls have been equally favorable to Trump, even though the latest RealClearPolitics average shows him leading Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis by an average of 27.1 points and running 1.8 points ahead in a hypothetical rematch with President Joe Biden.
Media outlets, including Fox, commonly show polls besides their own. Still, Trump didn't take kindly to a recent Fox News segment that mentioned a survey commissioned by CNN. (RELATED: Fox News' Primetime Stars Set To Testify In Dominion Trial)
As Mediaite reports:
“Why is FoxNews using Fake News CNN POLLS? Because they are Fake, even though I am leading by a lot, but not nearly as good as other polls. Leading Biden by 9 points, leading Social Security cutting DeSanctimonious by 35 points. MAGA!” Trump wrote on Thursday afternoon on his Truth Social platform.
Trump's Thursday afternoon post came after a report by Fox News National Correspondent Griff Jenkins on “Your World with Neil Cavuto.”
Jenkins reported on Trump's increased fundraising haul since his indictment, but noted the former president trails the pro-DeSantis Never Back Down PAC:
Now DeSantis has yet to enter the race, but as we reported here yesterday, Neil, a PAC supporting him raised a whopping $30 million in less than four weeks. Spokeswoman Erin Perrine reacting to the Trump move, telling Fox News this, saying, “This is the latest sign that the former president is nervous about his chances to win in 2024. Governor DeSantis isn't even an announced candidate, and Trump knows he is his biggest opponent. The grassroots movement behind him to join the race is growing, and that scares Trump.”
Jenkins proceeded to reference the CNN poll:
“Meanwhile, President Biden has yet to officially get into this race with an announcement rumored to come this month.” Now he's heading to Camp David today for Easter, you see here. But it comes on the heels of a brand new CNN poll, Neil, that shows only a third of Americans or 32%, say Biden deserves to be reelected. That's down from 37% back in December,” Jenkins concluded.
According to SnapStream, a TV monitoring software, Fox News has only referenced CNN polls about Trump's indictment in the past week. None have mentioned DeSantis.

Desantis should not oppose Trump. He should instead support his campaign and reconsider the Vice President position. He is young, lacks experience in foreign affairs. He can run in 2028 with more experience under his belt. He will end up dividing the GOP if he runs. The United States of Divided America needs to have candidates to unite and get the Deep State corruption out of our government.

As I keep saying, Trump and his mouth are his own worse enemy. Every time he spouts off something stupid he loses voters. Should the republicans make him their 2024 candidate they will ensure that the democrats will win the election for not only president but for both the house and senate seats.

The only reason it bothers me is because I know there are people out there like you….he obviously knows how to talk to foreign dignitaries because when he bacame President and they rushed the border….he went and talked to the leaders and the next thing the rush of immigrants was gone…and they never came back…..unlike the mess were in now.
