A disrespectful display…
Climate change protesters interrupted Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkin (R) during a speech to the Federalist Society and Defense of Freedom Institute (DFI) while he was recounting his morning visit to Arlington Cemetery’s 9/11 Memorial.
Youngkin had been speaking for several minutes when he shifted to honor the Virginians and Americans lost in the terrorist attack on the Defense Department headquarters 23 years ago Wednesday.
A female protester could be heard yelling that Youngkin was “unfit” and that “future generations will remember him as a climate criminal.”

“Today is a day of solemn remembrance. I just came from Arlington National Cemetery. I just came from the honor and privilege of laying a wreath at both the Pentagon Group Memorial Burial marker, and at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier,” Youngkin said.
Mid-sentence, several protesters moved to the front of the room and unfurled a banner with an offensive nickname for the governor written on it.
Speaking over the protesters and into his microphone, Youngkin said, “folks, I’m talking about 9/11 right now.”
“There couldn’t be anything more disrespectful to … our nation than what you are doing right now – not a thing.”
The climate protesters began chanting: “No more oil, keep the carbon in the soil,” as Youngkin was approached by aides.
The governor continued with his address, ignoring the protesters’ chants, saying, “today is a day to think about America.”
“Today is a day to remind ourselves that there were 3,000 men and women who lost their lives on 9/11. Today is a day to remind ourselves there’s evil in the world. And today is finally a day to remember that there are incredibly brave men and women who put their hand up and say: ‘Send me’ that stand between evil and peace.”

This the group of brain dead people that they want us to listen too. You may want to rethink the Government Education System. These people are the products of the US Educational system. People really need to take stock in what is important to their families. Do we really want a bunch of brain dead people trying to tell us what we need to do.
The U.S. Dept. of miseducation is yet another bureaucratic money pit taxpayers are forced to fund that provides employment for a failed system rife with socialists and global financial elitists, oligarchs,. We must completely rethink Government grants to the scientific community, the U.S. Department of Education and the self proclaimed educators of the Teacher’s Union that corrupt data to support whatever propaganda they are pushing. The direction of our education system belongs to the people, not government or the immense wealth of the democrat party’s controlling interests. Defund the Dept. of Education and give control back to the states where parents can formulate and oversee their children’s education. While we are at it we must defund the Department of Energy, another political boondoggle that has provided nothing positive to taxpayers, only overpaid bureaucrat staffing.
Tom’s comment on 09/11, is correct in every way! I grew up in a corrupt, solid Democrat area outside Chicago, IL, my parents were hyperactive Democrats. At that time (middle sixties) they, at the least, taught that we had a two party system in our Civics class, my freshman year. The teachers in the Social Studies Department appeared/presented of neither party, but many worked the polls, both as poll workers and as left political hawkers. Today, there are no classes in Civics there! State required history classes are presented from the left persuasion. Entire historical segments are not discussed or taught at all.
I did move away to a red state and remain almost hyperactive in the politics of the Republican Party. A church acquaintance ended up as School Superintendent, but he retired to red state Florida when the board voted out most of the better things they had at the school. Some of these classes like shop, home economics, civics, vocational careers, Distributive Education, art, performance music, dance kept students in school. Only one of our twelve grandchildren went to public school, because their parents realized that the public school system had lost its soul during their years at school! As Tom said, “People really need to take stock in what is important to their families.” May the Lord have mercy on us!
