Biden Caught In Another Easily Provable Lie About His College Days

-

Although President Joe has faced consequences for embellishing stories that are not entirely accurate, it doesn't deter him from continuing to do so.

As the 1988 presidential election approached, Biden positioned himself as a strong contender against the presumed Republican nominee, George H.W. Bush. However, his dreams of becoming the president had to be put on ice after it was revealed that he had repeatedly lied about his academic achievements. Biden falsely claimed to have earned three college degrees, attended law school on a full scholarship and graduated in the top half of his class. But perhaps the most egregious lie of that disastrous, plagiarism-riddled campaign was when he falsely claimed that he had marched in the civil rights movement.

In a much more recent speech in about , the octogenarian president claimed to be the first person in his family to attend college.

The only problem? That simply isn't true.

Once again, the president prioritized his preferred narrative over the facts.

Per the New York Post:

“I, like an awful lot of people in this audience, was the first in my family to go to college and watched my dad struggle to get there,” he said.

Biden, 81, has been called out several times before for making the same claim.

He acknowledged it was untrue more than 35 years ago when his 1987 presidential campaign unraveled in a plagiarism scandal that saw him lift remarks from a British politician.

Confronted about plagiarism and a number of inaccurate statements at the time, Biden acknowledged to the New York Times in 1987 that “there are Finnegans, my mother's family, that went to college.”

Biden's father also briefly attended the prestigious Johns Hopkins University, although he did not acknowledge this at the time.
