Biden Praises ‘Congressional Black Caucus’ But There’s One Big Problem

The senior president left lawmakers silent when he mistakenly praised the while he was speaking to the .

According to The Washington Free Beacon, while Biden was praising a Catholic nun who received an award at the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute's annual gala, Biden mixed up which caucus he was addressing.

“My dad used to say, ‘Everyone—everyone—is entitled to be treated with dignity and respect.' The Congressional Black Caucus embodies all those values,” Biden said at the gala.

The mix-up is only the latest in a long string of embarrassments by Biden, triggering questions over his competency for office.

Numerous from the Associated Press and The Journal reported an overwhelming majority of Americans doubt Biden's ability to effectively serve another four years.

In an AP-NORC poll released last month seventy-seven percent of respondents said Biden's advanced age renders him unable to “effectively serve” for another four years. Nearly 89 percent of Republicans said Biden was too old to serve. However, over two-thirds of Democrats said the same, with 69 percent saying Biden was too old.

Earlier this week, Biden appeared to forget to shake the hand of Brazilian Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva.

As the two leaders spoke to reporters at the United Nations General Assembly in , after a speech from the U.S. president, along with International Labor Organization Director-General Gilbert Houngbo. At the end, Biden and Houngbo shook hands, followed by Houngbo and da Silva, after which the American leader walked off stage leaving his Brazilian counterpart looking irritated.

  1. His age is not the issue. It’s his mental state. Age is just a smokescreen. I know people much older than he who have clear thoughts and can speak with intelligence and eloquence.
