President Biden’s visit to Florida today is creating major setbacks for cleanup efforts around St. Pete Beach, an area still reeling from the devastation of Hurricane Milton.
Local residents are facing significant obstacles, with entire neighborhoods completely locked down, according to on-the-ground reports from Florida’s Voice. One source explained that residents are struggling to navigate the area, which desperately needs unobstructed access for crews working to restore power and clear debris. Nearly one million people in the Tampa Bay region remain without electricity, and supply lines are critical for recovery efforts.

Airspace closures surrounding the president’s visit have reportedly worsened the situation, grounding drones that are essential for locating downed power lines after the storm.
Residents have experienced tense interactions with U.S. Secret Service agents. According to one witness, agents blocked locals from accessing their own homes, leaving many feeling trapped in the wreckage while Biden toured the area to assess the hurricane damage.

Milton struck central Florida on the evening of Oct. 9, 2024, just south of Tampa, as a powerful Category 3 storm. It had rapidly intensified, making history as the second-fastest intensifying storm in the Atlantic, surging from a Category 1 to a Category 5 storm with 180 mph winds in just 24 hours. While it weakened before landfall, Milton still unleashed heavy rain, powerful winds, tornadoes and a catastrophic storm surge that caused widespread destruction, power outages for three million people and 23 fatalities.

The alleged disruption caused by the presidential visit has left critics questioning the timing and its impact on critical recovery efforts at such a delicate time.

As usual, the government hindering recovery from a natural disaster! I personally saw this during Katrina. At least FEMA did some good after Katrina compared to FEMA today and their so called efforts to assist those in need. FEMA is just as bad as current President and the rest of his administration.
Biden is a “wack-job” who is incapable of properly assesing what he is viewing in Flordia. Joe “Bigot” Biden and Kamila Harris (Democrate Token) need to STOP DESTROYING MY counyry that I LOVE and he completely disrespects.
