Pin Ni, the president of Wanxiang America — the U.S. division of a major Chinese auto parts conglomerate — donated more than $65,000 to support Democratic Rep. Mikie Sherrill’s run for New Jersey governor.
Ni reportedly made two $30,000 contributions to a super PAC backing Sherrill, in addition to a $5,800 direct donation.
Ni’s contributions are drawing scrutiny over his alleged ties to the Chinese Communist Party. Both the Washington Examiner and Washington Free Beacon report that Ni is a CCP member — a designation that could make his donations legally problematic under federal election law.

The Federal Election Campaign Act prohibits political donations from foreign nationals unless the individual is a U.S. citizen or holds a valid green card. Some reports claim Ni has a U.S. Social Security number, but that alone does not confirm his immigration or citizenship status.
Legal experts cited in the reporting say that accepting money from someone with alleged CCP affiliation raises red flags — both legally and politically. Chinese law generally prohibits Communist Party members from holding foreign citizenship, which could further complicate Ni’s eligibility to contribute.
Sherrill’s campaign has not denied receiving the funds or disputed the filings.
Even if it’s technically legal, the donation could chip away at Sherrill’s slim lead over GOP challenger Jack Ciattarelli. And critics warn it plays right into a familiar pattern: the CCP’s ongoing push to infiltrate U.S. institutions and profit at America’s expense.
The Free Beacon continues:
“It is astounding that as a former Naval officer, U.S. Attorney, civilian lawyer, and now federal lawmaker with national security clearances, and one who knows the China threat, Sherrill would turn a blind eye to this violation of federal law and likely CCP influence operation,” said Joseph Cella, a cofounder of the Michigan-China Economic and Security Review Group.

Cella, whose group works to minimize Chinese influence in American supply chains, added that Sherrill’s decision to accept the donations “exemplifies a gross lack of judgment.”
“There must be an investigation to determine whether or not Mikie Sherrill violated election laws by accepting campaign contributions from not only a foreign national, but worse, a member of the Chinese Communist Party,” Paul Kamenar, counsel for the right-leaning National Legal and Policy Center, said in an interview. “That, in our view, is totally outrageous.”
“If this is a legally permitted contribution, the fact that Mikie Sherrill is willing to take campaign cash from a Communist Chinese Party member raises very serious concerns of what her values are,” he continued.
It remains unclear whether any investigation or enforcement action will be initiated by the Federal Election Commission, New Jersey election officials, or the U.S. Department of Justice.

So the Chinese Communist Party is picking Democrat politicians in New Jersey?
Nothing to see here, move along, move along…..
New Jerseyan, Americans: Hello. ANY candidate accepting foreign donations to their political campaign HAS VIOLATED ELECTION LAWS. MUST have a direct statement from the demoncrat candidate for New Jersey governor race [sherrill] to not only DISAVOW receiving such funds OR admiit receiving funds from china…IN EITHER CASE: open up/disclose her books and DOJ and FBI to IMMEDIATELY INVESTIGATE if the demoncrat candidate has lied and/or accepted the ccp china funds. If officially found out to have either lied and/or accepted the funds…sherrill must IMMEDIATELY take herself off the 2025 ballot for NJ governor. Which would leave Jack Ciatterelli running UNopposed. Great !
If elected Mikie Sherrill wouldn’t be the only communist politician that has been elected.
Our Governors in Calif (especially Gruesome Nuisance) have been flying to China and making unknown dealings for years.
There’s no news here.
It’s all undisclosed.
Communist supporting communist. What else is new???
