Florida state Rep. Hillary Cassel announced she is leaving the Democrat Party behind and will join the Republican Party in a shocking new move.
Cassel, who is Jewish, said in a statement posted on her X account that Democrats were too welcoming of “extreme progressive voices.” She also accused Democrats of failing to adequately support Israel in its ongoing wars against Hamas—a conflict that has divided many progressives.
Cassel wrote:
Today, I am announcing my decision to change my party affiliation from Democrat to Republican. This decision was not made lightly but comes from a deep sense of responsibility to my constituents and my commitment to the values that guide my service. I will be joining the Republican Conference of the Florida House of Representatives because I believe in their vision for a better, more prosperous Florida.
As a mother, I want to help build a world where our children are judged on their character and their actions not on their labels. As a proud Jewish woman, I have been increasingly troubled by the Democratic Party’s failure to unequivocally support Israel and its willingness to tolerate extreme progressive voices that justify or condone acts of terrorism. I’m constantly troubled by the inability of the current Democratic Party to relate to everyday Floridians.
I can no longer remain in a party that doesn’t represent my values. I know I won’t always agree on every detail with every Republican, but I do know that I will always have input, collaboration, and respect. The House Republican Conference empowers members to find common sense solutions to real issues facing all Floridians. They welcome different ideas and collaboration, which is the cornerstone of effective government.
“Those are my values,” she concluded. “I ran for office to make my community and this state better. I want my constituents to know my resolve to deliver on these promises has never been stronger. I know the best way to accomplish this is to join Speaker Perez and the Republican Conference in the Florida House of Representatives.”
Democrats have seen a freefall in support across the country after President-elect Donald Trump’s landslide 2024 election victory.
MSNBC host and former Biden Press Secretary Jen Psaki said the Democratic Party is lost in the “wilderness” and without a leader after Kamala Harris’ stunning defeat to President-elect Donald Trump.
In an interview on NBC’s “Meet the Press” Sunday, Psaki was asked how Democrats regain their footing and begin to “chart their path forward” after losing the White House, Senate and House of Representatives.
“Look, I think Democrats are in the wilderness, as you just said before, there is no clear leader of the party. Joe Biden is going to be out of office shortly. Kamala Harris just lost the election. There are a lot of governors and other people who might emerge maybe that we don’t know about yet, but there is no clear leader of the party right now,” she said.

It is nice to see some people come to their senses. Anyone claiming to be a real Jew should support the Republicans and Trump. Most Christians realize that Christ was a Jew and that the Jews are Gods chosen people and therefor support Israel. Progressive want to destroy both Israel and America.
There never really was a CLEAR LEADER in the party; they were all criminals and whores, take RAPIST Bill Clinton who FORCEFULLY RAPED Juanita Broderick and others and got away with it while the B***C Hillary DESTROYED the women he raped. Remember also that his name was on the Lolita Express logs 27 TIIMESs; Also remember Monica Lewinsky, the Intern he had ongoing relations with in the OVAL OFFICE.
Also remember that Barack Obama NEVER PROVED that he was ELIGIBLE for the presidency, but was shoved in by corrupt judges who REFUSED to hear cases regarding his eligibility.
