George W. Bush’s longtime senior advisor Karl Rove offered an assist to President Joe Biden on Fox News after the press reported on the first trove of classified documents at a location associated with the president.
President Biden’s lawyers said Monday that he had a “small number” of documents with classified markings from his time as vice president. Attorneys found them stashed in a closet at his former office in the Penn Biden Center in Washington, D.C.
In a subsequent appearance on Fox News, Mr. Rove argued what made former President Donald Trump’s document scandal worse.

Speaking on Fox News late Tuesday, Mr Rove said the “differences” between the two cases are significant.
“For example, how many documents in Biden’s case, there appear to be about 10. In the case of President Trump, hundreds,” he said. He also noted that it’s not known how the documents at issue got to a locked closet at the Penn Biden Centre in Washington, but he pointed out that Mr Trump had ordered the documents retrieved during the 8 August search of his Mar-a-Lago property to be transferred from the White House to his Florida home.
Mr Rove also noted that Mr Biden’s lawyers “immediately” notified “appropriate authorities” of what they’d found, while Mr Trump engaged in an 18-month fight with the National Archives over what he’d had stashed at his property.
“We spent a year and a half watching the drama unfold in Mar-a-Lago, and it had to end in a police search to recover the documents,” he said.
Mr. Trump responded on Truth Social. He argued that the documents found by Biden’s lawyers were left unguarded “for many years” while his home receives Secret Security protection.
Since Mr. Rove’s on-air appearance, we know more about Mr. Biden’s indiscretions.
People familiar with the matter revealed Wednesday night that his aides found another batch of classified documents at a second, undisclosed location. Their discovery came sometime after Mr. Biden’s assistants started searching his properties following the initial find of sensitive records last November.
White House lawyers announced Thursday afternoon that another batch of Obama-era records was found in a garage at one of Mr. Biden’s Delaware homes.
Shortly afterward, Attorney General Merrick Garland announced the appointment of a special counsel to investigate Mr. Biden’s handling of classified documents.
The revelations have emboldened Republicans. They increasingly accuse Mr. Biden of hypocrisy for criticizing his predecessor’s handling of secret documents.
Speaking to reporters in Mexico City on Tuesday, Mr. Biden maintained his staff had fully cooperated with the National Archives and the Justice Department.

Less items have nothing to do with it. It is the same crime. And Trump was a President, Biden was a Vice President and had no authority to take anything.

Even worse, the FBI, DOJ and the conniving Demmunists KNEW about this little trove of classified documents in Biden’s possession BEFORE they started their histrionics about Trump, including a completely UNNECESSARY raid on Trump’s Mara Lago home.
The documents Biden had were at multiple sites that were not secure and without Secret Service agents. The rules regarding the vice president include criminal that do not apply to the president.
Karl certainly was after Trump and he was not thinking about the law.
The President can declassify any document, whereas the VP has no such power.
As the article notes, MaraLago is protected by the Secret Service, whereas an office building closet probably has many people who have access.
The President is covered by the Presidential Records Act, which Trump was negotiating with the Nat’l Archives on what he could keep and had returned many documents. Biden had these documents for 5 to 6 years with no ones knowledge.

Karl is an anti-Trumper. The FBI was aware of and saw the boxes of documents. Trump was a President who had Executive Privilege to declassify docs. Trumps docs were secured under lock and key with Secret Service agents on premises. The Nat Archived allowed Obama to keep millions of docs under the proviso he would digitize them. He still has them and no results. Biden as a VP had no legal standing to have even a small amount at an office or garage. TREASON

To make matters worse for Biden, the think tank where the classified documents were found is a CCP funded organization.

If there was nothing there why did Biden send his attorneys to help staff retrieve docs. Used to have a lot of respect for Rove but I don’t pay him much attention anymore. Put him and Geraldo in the same box and shake it real hard.

Rove is wrong again. McSniffy, as VP, had no authority to take any classified documents, or declassify documents. Trump, as a sitting President, had the authority to do both. Maybe he didn’t follow the declassification protocol correctly, but it doesn’t really matter, and it’s certainly not a criminal action.

When James Comey “dismissed” consequences from Hillary Clinton because she “had no intent” to compromise classified materials by putting them on her unsecured private server in her house, and through her unsecured private phone and other unsecured communications; Comey was dismissing her required obedience to laws governing handling classified materials. Comey was wrong! Every person authorized access to classified information is required to follow the laws applicable to that person. Pres Trump’s classified document trangression is NOT “worse.” He was PRESIDENT at the time, Biden was NOT. After reading this, the hatred of President Trump knows no bounds. I’m not going to write out my verbal reaction to Rove, but I just lost respect for the man. Rove obviously still is a Bush hack, and of course since Mr. Trump laid it all on the line about his honest thoughts on them, he’s being the friend loyale. And of course the usual what I can only describe as jealousy where President Trump is concerned by many (not all) Republicans because HE got the job DONE where they failed to do for YEARS!! One point he and most others continue to ‘miss’ regarding classified material is that a person not only must have the appropriate clearance but also the need to know. Both need to be in effect in order to even access any classified material, and NO one is authorized to remove that material from its secure location.

Just wondered now if anyone out there has seen Rove backtrack or apologize (wishful I know) since multiple batches have been reported? What does he have to say now? I hope he did the right thing and said he was mistaken.
What so many don’t seem to understand is that there’s quite a difference between what Donald Trump and what Joe Biden did. The documents Trump had were inspected, sealed in boxes and delivered to Mara Lago by the National Archives. The documents Biden stole as vice president with no right to do it, were taken and scattered all over in insecure places. Also, when vice president Biden was residing in Blair House in D.C. If they’d been taken there it might not look like an anti-American act. So what I feel is that we the people should be made aware of why Biden took the papers to Delaware, scattered them around there in addition to taking some to an office somewhere else and leaving them there for five years in an insecure place. Is Biden just carried away with his authority or is he nothing more than a Chinese spy? In closing I really want to thank the damn fools who blindly voted for Biden without checking his past record. The big difference is that Trump had the authorization of handling the classified documents. Biden on the other hand took the president’s documents when he did not.
