Georgia Senate Candidate Closes Gap With Democrat Opponent

-

Georgia Republican hopeful is seeing his popularity soar in the weeks leading up to the November general election. New polls show Walker has closed the gap against Democrat incumbent Sen. and is now the projected winner.

The most recent InsiderAdvantage/FOX 5 Atlanta survey reported Walker with 47% support from voters in the Peach State over Warnock's 44% support. The report indicates a stark change from a similar July poll which showed Warnock holding a two-point advantage over the football legend.

On Wednesday, Walker opened up to Fox News's Sean Hannity about what he thinks spurred the recent shift.

According to Fox News:

“The reason is, I'm getting out and meeting the people, and I'm talking to the people and the people are speaking. You know, they've spent over $50 million against me, but the race is still tied,” Walker told host Sean Hannity.

“People want a change in Washington. Senator Warnock is a cut from the cloth of . And what I mean by that is he believes in higher taxes, he believes in open borders, he voted to put men in women sports. And that's not what the Georgian people want,” Walker said. “The Georgian people want someone they can trust, and they can trust in Herschel Walker.”

The is expected to be one of the most expensive and closely watched races in the country.

“Warnock is winning among younger voters and seniors but trails badly among those 40-64. Men support Walker at 60%, while women support Warnock at 55%. Walker is receiving 12% support from African American respondents,” said InsiderAdvantage chairman Matt Towery alongside the poll results. “With only 4% undecided, this race could very well be headed to a General Election runoff given the fact that there seems to be few points among the various demographics up for grabs.”

The race between Walker and Warnock has been contentious thus far but until recently Warnock had managed to hold onto a razor-thin lead over his Republican opponent. However, recent polls have begun to break in Walker's favor.

According to RealClearPolitics, the most recent Trafalgar Group poll reported Walker with a one-point advantage over the incumbent senator. A separate poll conducted by Emerson College reported Walker with a two-point lead over Sen. Warnock.

  1. People are tired of these same old politicians and their left wing ideas and are ready to put some new faces in our government. Congress will never put any kind of term limits on themselves so it’s up to us to vote them out. Walker isn’t a career politician so he’s the kind we want to elect to help save our government, and country, from the radical ideas of the democrats.

  2. Anyone who can read this is “qualified” to be in the Senate or House. It doesn’t take a ton of knowledge. That s what staff is for. ALL IT TAKES IS INTEGRITY AND KEEPING CONSTITUENTS BEST INTERESTS FOREMOST. That’s why we need term limits. The best humans succumb to their environment DC It’s toxic. Don’t leave em there that long!

  3. It is time for the voters to see the truth for what each candidates stands for, and all laws that will affecr our schools, families, and country..
My advice to each party is to aquire the knowledge of each candidate’s prior voting record and ask the question: “Is this really what I believe, and want for our country? Remember,, we are NOT voting for a man… we are voting for our famiies, and the future of our country.
