Joe Manchin Becomes Latest Democrat to Cast Doubt on Biden’s Second Term

-

is slowly but surely losing support amongst his Democrat colleagues.

In the wake of record-high inflation, an out-of-control border and rising it's not hard to understand why Biden's supporters are abandoning him in droves. However, while pollsters have been reporting that key voting groups who supported his 2020 campaign like Latinos and young Americans are trending away from Biden, the most shocking betrayal has come from his own party.

Last week, Rep. Dean Phillips (D-Minn.) became the first Democrat lawmaker to publicly say he would not support Biden's reelection, and it seems he may have triggered a domino effect. (RELATED: House Democrat Refuses to Endorse Biden's Reelection Bid)

During an interview with CNN's “State of the Union” host Jake Tapper, Senator (D-W.Va.) refused to outwardly endorse Biden's second term.

“Jake, I'm not getting involved in any election right now. 2022, 2024, I'm not speculating on it,” Manchin answered.

“President Biden is my president right now, and I'm going to work with him and his administration to the best of my ability to help the people in my state of West and this country. And we have agreements,” he said.

“We have respectful agreements where we respect each other, and we work through them. So, this is what people are upset about. Everything is about the next election,” he added.

In June, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez also stopped short of officially endorsing Biden's reelection during an interview with “State of the Union.”

“I think if the president has a vision, then that's something certainly we're all willing to entertain and examine when the time comes,”  told Dana Bash.

  2. Biden and reelection are two words that do not now, nor will they ever go together. It’s just simply stupid.

  3. Stop with this 2nd term nonsense, biden will be lucky to make it through his first ILLEGITIMATE term. By 2024, if he is still alive, a pet monkey will have more working brain cells than he will.

  4. Ah but Joe, you forgot that Brandon himself boasted… now how did that go? The most efficient political fraud machine?
