Leading BLM-Backed Candidate Agrees to Plead Guilty

Federal prosecutors recently charged the only candidate running for federal office this cycle who received the endorsement of Black Lives Matter PAC. Prosecutors accused her of helping herself to campaign and state party funds.

On no less than four occasions.

Now, former State Senator (D) has agreed to a plea deal.

Peterson's admission of guilt to one count of wire fraud is set for Aug. 1.

Peterson resigned from the state in April 2021 after losing a special election to represent Louisiana's 2nd Congressional District. She cited her mental and gambling addiction as the reasons for leaving.

Between 2012-2020, Peterson served as the chair of the Louisiana .

Peterson's seven-year scheme involved diverting state campaign and party cash to four individuals and four companies, which reportedly cashed the checks and provided Peterson with most or all of the funds, according to the Louisiana Illuminator.

Peterson then used the money on personal expenses, including gambling-related costs. She also filed “false and misleading” campaign finance reports that “mischaracterized expenditures as being for legitimate purposes related to her campaign or the holding of public office,” the wrote in a July 14 press release.

Peterson addressed the charges in a public apology on July 14:

  1. Of course BLM would support a criminal. They’re all criminals. They are a terrorist organization, but because they’re black, think they should be above the law. Most demon rats agree.

    • Of course they think they’re above the law since no one was charged for all those cities they burned up with their rioting and “peaceful protests”. That whole blm business is a joke!

  2. What kind of jail time will she do? Probably none because she is part of a power pack, and you know that don’t serve no time for nothing.

  3. So, tell me again, please. Why does anyone support the scam of BLM? There is only a half-inch between Black Lives Matter and Only Black Lives Matter. That point was illustrated by the murder of a Hispanic woman in front of her young daughter because she said, “All lives matter” to a bunch of BLM protestors. She was dead less than two minutes later.
