Report: Trump Committed to Moving Ahead With ‘Very Big Announcement’

-

According to a new report, former President has likely decided to announce his third presidential campaign next week.

This, despite increasing pressure on Trump to refrain from doing so after an underwhelming performance by Republicans in the midterms, notably involving some of his most highly touted, personally chosen candidates.

Even some of the former president's closest allies are urging him to delay his expected presidential announcement until after the Dec. 6 Senate runoff election in Georgia so as to not take any focus away from Herschel Walker.

NBC News' Marc Caputo revealed Thursday afternoon that their efforts haven't succeeded. The journalist noted on Twitter that invitations to a “very big announcement” from Donald Trump are expected to go out today. The announcement will reportedly occur on Nov. 15 at Mar-a-Lago.

Caputo discussed the developments with one of Trump's senior advisors.

Mediaite further reports:

“The , the corporate elites, and political establishment has all moved in unison against Donald Trump at their own peril,” said Caputo's source. “It's like they want to recreate 2015-2016. Let them. We are doing it again. Buckle up.”

Trump teased an intent to run for president again on countless occasions before the midterms on Tuesday. Despite Trump's claim that he should only get credit for the midterm election results if his endorsed candidates win, the fact that so many of his candidates lost have raised new public questions about whether the GOP should move on from the ex-president.

Since the elections, Trump has tried to cast the results in a positive light for himself, argued the is to blame for its own shortcomings, and he lashed out at media coverage on his accountability to the GOP's nationwide disappointment. As political observers speculate whether Governor Ron DeSantis should take Trump's place as head of the party, Trump's former White House press secretary has suggested that he ought to postpone next week's announcement of a presidential run.

  1. I will vote for President Trump or I will sit it out. DeSantis would make an excellent Veep, but if I choose between them, I choose President Trump.

  2. DeeP
Please, President Trump, DO NOT make any announcements yet about future political plans! We are
sick and tired of politics, fund raising plans that follow and especially the stupid lawsuits, the lies and
Claims that are untrue that bas cost we Americans tons
of money! Please wait until 2023!
We can’t take any more politicking!!!Dee

  3. He needs to stop the comments on Desantis and name-calling on everyone else and just run on what he has to offer the American people. So many have turned on him because of this. He just hurt himself big time.

  4. Trump…if you REALLY do care about us, We The People, you’ll put aside your ego for a moment and let the run-offs play themselves out without your distraction for your own self-interest…’nuff said…

  5. It was Trump who picked De Santis up when he was down and gave him his start. In turn De Santis did a great job as governor following the MAGA agenda, and he deserves this second term. This time Ron ran against a long time looser Crist which surely contributed to a landslide.
Trump will be reelected, finish the great job he was doing, paving the way for a De Santis to build further on.

  6. I have been a devoted Trump supporter, but I am not at all happy with some of his comments regarding Governor DeSantis. By making these really stupid comments, he is showing himself to be a petty and juvenile person. I never thought I would say this, but my funds and support will be directed to DeSantis in the future.

  7. Trump will be 78+ in 2024, what is it with this? Go play golf, I never really voted for you. I voted against Clinton and Biden. Your endorsements cost us dearly. “Georgia would be better off with Abrams than Kemp”??? I’ve been a Republican since 1969 when the hippies at the Seattle airport, protected by our own MP’s, spit at us and shouted insults they would never have had the guts to do if they weren’t protected. If you run in 2024, for the first time ever, I just won’t vote.
This is also the worst possible time to draw attention away from Georgia. All GOP leaders should focused on helping Walker, not your ego. Is there no end to your arrogance?

  8. This is not a time to back down.
The announcement of Trump is running for President, Will prove he is still fighting for we the people and , It will not take away from Hechell Walker’s rerunoff, but will encourage voters that we are determined to go forward and support both these men who wants to:
    Make American great again

  9. I believe that Mr. Trump is a good and charismatic man gravely concerned about the future of America. His only drawback seems to be his ‘loose cannon’ mouth. There are folks out there who are simply not neurotypical. Among them are folks without a ‘filter,’ who spout off the first thing that comes to mind. And they cannot help it. There are names for such syndromes and at this point I wonder whether Mr. Trump is thus afflicted. Nobody is perfect and before casting the first stone, remember that each and every one of US suffers from some kind of affliction. DemoCreeps, for example, are deficient in reason and individualism: they value the herd and the Collective far above the individual, like insects or lemmings.
