Republican National Committee (RNC) chairman has revealed they’ve focused their operation on reengaging voters that have skipped one or more of the past three election cycles (midterms as well as presidential election years) and have been positively surprised and overwhelmed with what they’ve seen so far.

The Republican National Committee (RNC) is focusing on “low propensity voters,” and the turnout is already “dramatically higher” than in the past, RNC Chairman Michael Whatley said during an appearance on Breitbart News Daily.
He explained, “We are focused on low propensity voters. That is really, truly the push. And we are combining door knocks with phone calls with direct mail with digital communication, emails, texts,” and went on to clarify low propensity voters as people “very likely to vote for Donald Trump if they vote, but they haven’t voted in two years or four years or six years.”
It seems that Democrats are also pursuing a similar strategy, though their level of success remains unclear. But based on reports, Republicans seem to be taking the lead, as for the first time in decades, more Americans are registered as Republicans than Democrats, and Republicans have been turning out in droves to vote early. When MSNBC went to Arizona to interview early voters, they were unable to find a single person in the long, outdoor line willing to admit they were planning to vote for Harris.
Whatley continued, “And the Democrats are going to identify somebody the same kind of way, but it really, truly is…not a very regular voter. And so you know, what we’re seeing in our first initial assessments out of Georgia, North Carolina, out of Arizona, out of Pennsylvania, is that we’re having a really good response rate from the low propensity voters.”
Almost 80% of Americans report feeling that the country is heading in the wrong direction, and most Americans also report the economy as their number one issue and that they trust Trump more to handle it. As the cost of living soars and people struggle to afford necessities, voters that have withdrawn from recent elections may find themselves with a reinvigorated motivation to participate.
This may explain the unusually high number of unlikely voters reengaging to the benefit of the Republican Party.
Whatley marveled, “I will say that the low propensity voters, in terms of their percentage of the overall vote, is dramatically higher than what we’ve typically seen.” According to the chairman, the Party is actively getting “new people out,” which “is the entire focus of what we’ve been building for the last six months.”
