Stacey Abrams Calls for Reinforcements in Wake of New Poll

-

Georgia Democrat gubernatorial challenger Stacey Abrams is in full panic mode heading into the home stretch before November's general election.

A new poll conducted by The Atlanta Journal-Constitution (AJC) reported Georgia Governor Brian Kemp (R) leading Abrams by eight points, a concerning number as the Democrat faces off against Kemp for the second time.

Fifty percent of likely Georgia voters in the AJC poll released on Tuesday said they would support Kemp, while 42 percent said they backed Abrams. In the last poll conducted in July, Governor Kemp led Abrams by five points, 48 percent to 43 percent.

However, it's not just Abrams that is experiencing a downturn in support among Georgia voters. The AJC poll also reported showed Republican candidates leading across the board in down-ballot races for lieutenant governor, attorney general, and secretary of state.

The Georgia race has remained close. The Atlanta-based newspaper's survey reported Republican candidate Herschel Walker with a 2-point lead over incumbent Senator Raphael Warnock.

However, a separate poll conducted by Marist reported Warnock with a 2-point lead over his Republican challenger.

The latest reports detailing Abrams's impending loss have been enough to spur panic among her campaign and call for reinforcements. According to The Hill, Abrams reportedly told The 19th's editor-at-large, Errin Haines, that she would have key Democrats like the president and vice president campaign for her.

“I know people will try to spin up stories where they don't exist. I welcome President  and Vice President Kamala Harris to come to Georgia because that's one of the ways we show Georgia what the Democrats have delivered for our state,” she said.

Despite calling on Biden's help for her gubernatorial campaign it's no guarantee that Biden's or Harris's presence could cause a boost in support among voters due to their low approval ratings.

While President Biden has managed to somewhat repair his historically low approval ratings in the past months it remains underwater just as the midterm general election cycle is getting underway.

The latest Rasmussen report released on Tuesday reported that 43 percent of likely U.S. voters approve of President Biden's job performance while fifty-five percent disapprove.

Georgia's elections are expected to be some of the most expensive and closely watched races in their year's midterms.

Will Gov. Kemp be elected to his second term in the governor's mansion or will Abrams succeed in knocking off the incumbent? Can maintain his lead over Warnock or will Democrats cruise to victory in the once-red state? Tell us what you think in the comments below!

  1. This will be very interesting…can’t wait to see how the midterms turnout. Will be be a free people or will we march into oblivion like so many countries have under marxist rule.

  2. My last month paycheck was 11000 dollars… All I did was simple 0nline work from comfort at home for 3-4 hours/day that I got from this agency I discovered over the internet and they paid me 95 dollars every hour. for more detail…  https://indeedgold.blogspot.com/

  3. If the nearing midterms are even remotely fair, the gop, as lame as they are should smoke the marxist demotards almost everywhere. Only the slow witted base liberals would support such epic failure as we’ve seen nearing two years now….

  4. Just think of it, Pelosi in Italy! You never see ambassadors on the fake news! She’d be history even though she finishes by picking up her ball and crying all the way to Italy. Then her district/state has to go through the trouble and expense to stick another liberal in here seat. She should do the honorable thing and leave now, Italy doesn’t have an ambassador now. And here serfs can have time to pick her replacement. There are probably plenty of loyal liberals that would love to be Italy’s ambassador and are better qualified, but they have to wait until after the mid-terms to see if a political elite insider hack gets it instead. I hope she does get it because you know what that means.

  5. If the radical left wing Abrams is their party’s ” superstar” it’s no wonder that their party is so screwed up.Having lived in Georgia for many years during my working years, I would hope that the voters of Georgia are still smart enough to reject people like Abrams and the rest of the democrats trying to destroy, not only Georgia, but our whole republic.
