Steve Bannon Declares War On Elon Musk

Steve Bannon, the former White House strategist and key figure in the MAGA movement, has launched a blistering attack on tech billionaire Elon Musk, accusing him of being a “truly evil guy” who must be expelled from the Trump orbit. Bannon, who once tolerated Musk presence due to his financial backing of President Donald Trump, now considers the Tesla CEO a liability and a threat to the MAGA agenda.

In a recent interview with the Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera, Bannon made it clear that he no longer sees Musk as an ally. “I will have Elon Musk run out of here by Inauguration Day,” Bannon declared. “He is a truly evil guy, a very bad guy. I made it my personal thing to take this guy down,” Bannon added.

One of the key issues that has driven a wedge between Bannon and Musk is the billionaire’s support for the H-1B visa program. The H-1B visa allows companies in the U.S. to sponsor skilled foreign workers, particularly in fields like technology, science, and engineering. Critics, including Bannon, argue that the program undermines American workers by enabling tech giants to hire cheaper labor from abroad, squeezing citizens out of the workforce and undercutting their wages.

“This thing of the H-1B visas, it’s about the entire immigration system being gamed by the tech overlords,” Bannon said. “They use it to their advantage, and the people are furious.”

Bannon now views Musk’s policies and influence as fundamentally at odds with the populist, nationalist agenda championed by Trump and his supporters.

Bannon also took issue with comments Musk made last month in response to a tweet suggesting that Americans are “retarded.” Musk, who has since deleted the tweet, responded with a phrase that Bannon described as mocking and insulting to the MAGA movement.

“He went out of his way to mock our movement as racist and retards, and he lost,” Bannon said. “We blew him out of the water. He won’t fight. He’s got the maturity of a little boy.”

He believes the Tesla CEO is pushing a vision of “techno-feudalism,” where a small group of ultra-wealthy tech leaders control global power and resources. “He is focused on aggregating wealth and, through wealth, consolidating power,” Bannon said. “He wants to implement techno-feudalism on a global scale. I don’t support that and we’ll fight it.”

“His sole objective is to become a trillionaire,” Bannon said. “He will do anything to make sure that any one of his companies is protected or has a better deal or he makes more money.”

Bannon has argued that Musk’s business dealings in China have compromised his ability to stand up to the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), which controls Tesla’s operations in the country.

Bannon concluded that Musk’s business interests have made him a “partner” of the CCP. “He is owned lock, stock, and barrel by the Chinese Communist Party, and he acts like it,” Bannon asserted. Musk’s praise for China’s “economic prosperity” on the 100th anniversary of the CCP in 2021 further fueled Bannon’s distrust.

Bannon’s latest comments reflect a deepening rift between the populist factions within Trump’s base and the Silicon Valley billionaire. For Bannon, Musk’s business priorities and his globalist tendencies have become irreconcilable with the America-first nationalism that Trump and his allies espouse.

Whether Bannon will succeed in his mission to “run out” Musk remains to be seen, but his public declaration makes it clear: Bannon is unwilling to tolerate what he sees as Musk’s betrayal of the American working class and his alignment with globalist interests. The battle lines are drawn, and the stakes could not be higher.
