Sununu Reveals Why He Won’t Become Nikki Haley’s VP Choice

New Hampshire Gov. Chris Sununu (R) admitted that he likely would not be Nikki Haley‘s running mate, despite endorsing her last month.

Sununu told Fox News' Neil Cavuto that Washington could not “handle” him being .

“Look, I'd do anything for but not — but probably not that. That's not my gig. I don't think Washington — I don't think Washington could handle me, Neil,” Sununu told Fox News's Neil Cavuto when pressed on whether he was interested in being Haley's running mate.  

“I don't know. I think I'm a little too hot,” the New Hampshire Republican added. 

Sununu officially announced last month that he would endorse Haley in the GOP primary. (RELATED: Republican Governor Snubs Trump, Plans To Endorse Haley For President)

“When you look at the poll numbers and you look at the ground game that Nikki has laid, it has been absolutely unbelievable,” Sununu said. “To see her out there, to see her connecting with folks, to feel that momentum — it is real, it is tangible.”

Haley has also seen some momentum in where recent also show her coming in second to former President Donald Trump.
