Trump Gives Lauren Boebert Best News She’s Had In Weeks: ‘A Proven Conservative’

Once again, has defied the expectations of the political establishment.

Despite controversies and family crises, Rep. (R-Colo.) has secured Trump's endorsement following her near-defeat in 2022.

The fear of losing November's election made Boebert switch from 's Republican-leaning 3rd congressional district to the overwhelmingly conservative 4th district.

In a post on , the former president praised Boebert, a staunch ally, as “a Proven Conservative and Effective Leader” and a “trusted American First Fighter” with his complete support. (RELATED: MAGA Star Sues Biden)

Boebert won an endorsement from House Speaker Mike Johnson just days after announcing her district switch.

Among the others seeking the GOP nomination in the 4th CD are Logan County Commissioner Jerry Sonnenberg, state Reps. Mike Lynch and Richard Holtorf, former state Sen. Ted Harvey and former talk radio host Deborah Flora.

Ahead of Colorado's June 25 congressional primary, candidates are vying for spots on the primary ballot through the caucus and assembly process, which kicks off next week, and by gathering signatures on petitions, which are due March 19.

Boebert, who formally endorsed Trump's presidential campaign last year, said in a statement that she is honored to have Trump's support.

“It's my honor to have the endorsement of the greatest President our country has ever known – Donald J. Trump,” Boebert responded in a post on X. “It will be such a privilege to work alongside him in 2024 to deliver results for Colorado & get the entire country back on track!”

Boebert was elected in 2020 to represent the 3rd district, encompassing the western half of the state. Trump carried the district against by 8%. Two years later, Boebert narrowly defeated Democrat Adam Frisch by 554 votes.

She proceeded to focus on presenting herself in a softer light and delivering economic wins for her constituents.

However, she suffered a setback last September after police officers had to prod her and her date out of a family-friendly theatrical production of “Beetlejuice.” (RELATED: Biden Admin ‘Responds' To Dirty Scandal Involving Supporters)

Rep. Ken Buck decided not to run for reelection in the neighboring 4th district two months later.

With a Cook Partisan Voting Index of R+13, no Democrat has won more than 40% of the vote in the district since 2010.
