Trump Signals He Won’t Participate In Any Republican Debates

-

Former President appears adamantly opposed to participating in any debates during the 2024 Republican presidential primaries.

Trump recently announced on his social site that he doesn't want to be “libeled and abused” by other candidates. (RELATED: Trump Claims Ron DeSantis Groomed High Schoolers)

Mediaite reports:

The presumptive frontrunner took to social media to complain that “nobody got my approval, or the approval of the Trump Campaign, before announcing” the debates. Two events have been announced thus far, the first on Fox News and another at the Reagan Library in Simi, California.

Trump, who announced his bid for re-election last year, flexed his muscles on , boasting, “When you're leading by seemingly insurmountable numbers, and you have hostile Networks with angry, TRUMP & MAGA hating anchors asking the ‘questions,' why to subject yourself to being libeled and abused?”

Trump has lashed out before at his primary challengers, calling their decision to run for president “extremely disloyal.”

During a February appearance on Hugh Hewitt's radio show, the 45th president said he might refuse to endorse the GOP's presidential nominee — if it's not him.

“It would depend. I would give you the same answer I gave in 2016 during the debate. … It would have to depend on who the nominee was,” Trump remarked.

The hardball tactics suggest the former president believes he has the political capital with the GOP base to make such unprecedented demands.

  2. Trump doesn’t need to debate the worthless Republicans anyways. We already know where he stands on everything.

And besides, unlike politicians, he keeps his promises.

    • Afraid? After he crushed all 16 RINOs in 2016. They are praying he doesn’t show up now that he knows all about them now.
