Personal lawyers for President Joe Biden discovered classified documents from his time as vice president in his former office at the Penn Biden Center for Diplomacy and Global Engagement in Washington, D.C.
Mr. Biden had an office there from 2017 to 2020.
Now, a Trump-appointed U.S. attorney is combing through the records at the behest of Attorney General Merrick Garland, as The Washington Times reports:
Attorney General Merrick Garland dispatched John Lausch, the U.S. Attorney for Chicago to investigate after the National Archives and Records Administration referred the matter to the Justice Department. Mr. Lausch was appointed by President Trump and is one of the U.S. attorneys held over from the former administration.
The disclosure, coming after a high-profile investigation of Mr. Trump for keeping classified documents after he left office, had the former president and others accusing the administration of a double standard.
White House Counsel Richard Sauber downplayed the revelations, asserting that attorneys found “a small number of documents with classified markings” while cleaning out a locked closet.
The Times continues:
Mr. Sauber said in a statement that the attorneys immediately notified the National Archives, who took possession of the classified documents the next day. The documents were stored in a locked closet, he said.
“The documents were not the subject of any previous request or inquiry by the Archives. Since that discovery, the president’s personal attorneys have cooperated with the Archives and the Department of Justice in a process to ensure that any Obama-Biden administration records are appropriately in the possession of the Archives,” the statement said.
It’s unclear how far Mr. Lausch’s review of the documents has progressed.
Reaction from Republicans was swift and brutal. House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer, R-Ky., railed at the perception of a “two-tier” justice system. Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., said the revelations prove Democrats were “trying to be political to President Trump.”
Mr. Biden previously chastised the former president as “irresponsible” for taking classified documents to Mar-a-Lago.

Big difference: there was no predawn raid, with all the press tipped off. In fact they will barely touch this story and/or play it down.
What is missing is number of documents and do you believe attorneys found them? Of so why were there looking / searching for documents? Could it be it was raining and did not have anything better to do? Who really found the document?

That picture shows a folder labeled SECRET/SCI. That’s information, the release of which to unauthorized persons could be expected to cause grave damage to the security of the United States. Plus, the SCI is Special Compartmented Information, which is usually intelligence information, disclosing sources either by their names or positions. This should result in a prison sentence and hefty fine.
Not to mention that at the time Bidet was NOT POTUS, but VP which doesn’t have the same protections, but all that being said, since it is BIDET, nothing will come of this!

Ah, now we get to see the Democrats double standards up close, come on now Merrick Garland, show us how you can spin the law and make up some rule of how a Vice-President is allowed to do what the law says only a President can do.
By the way, where is the armed raid of Biden’s New Jersey home, as you did to President Trump’s Florida home, and why has this been hidden from the American people for over two months, does it really take you that long to create a lie for what a Vice-President is not allowed to do and when he does, nothing happens, but when a President does what the law says he is allowed to do, you use the DOJ to politically prosecute him with a Special Counsel.
The “Department of Injustice” has a “Dual Justice System” that they want to show-off to the American people through Merrick Garland. Wow, did the American people ever dodge a bullet when they wouldn’t allow Merrick Garland to be considered for a position on the SCOTUS, there is already enough corruption in our justice system, just look at the DOJ and FBI, and all the whistleblowers lining up to expose the truth about political motivated crimes by members and agents of those two departments and agencies.
