Famous LGBTQ Figure Expresses Heartbreak In Controversial Video

-

became a leading figure for trans kids' treatment back in 2006.

Born Jared Jennings, Jazz announced that he identified as a woman at six. Imbued with confidence thanks to positive reinforcement from his mother and celebrities, including , Jared changed his gender to female and chose the name Jazz, inspired by her favorite Disney princess.

Starting with wearing women's clothing, Jazz underwent more and more invasive procedures to match her gender identity.

People who experience gender incongruence often experience depression and even suicidal tendencies. While most are happy after treatment, some are not, leading to skepticism and concerns, which progressives lambast as transphobic.

But how is it inappropriate to react that way to this:

Following the initial surgeries, Jennings gained over 100 pounds through binge eating and experienced a range of mental health disorders. Jennings' mother, Jeanette, deflected theories that those difficulties were caused by the penile inversion vaginoplasty and argued that Jazz had long experienced mental health issues.

For Jazz, hormones led to puberty blockers, ending in male-to-female gender-affirming surgery. During that time, her years-long transition became a cause célèbre for the left.

It got Jazz an interview with Barbara Walters, a profile on influential teens in Time magazine and a reality TV show on TLC.

However, a clip from “I am Jazz” shows Jazz, now 22, telling her mother, “I just want to feel like myself…all I want is to be happy and feel like me, and I don't feel like me ever.”

It's not clear if anyone close to Jazz even seriously questioned whether a child at the height of their formative years would regret transitioning.

While research suggests that rates of regret and detransitioning are very low, studies are rare, leaving the Associate Press to opine that it's impossible to draw concrete conclusions.

The World Professional Association for Health lowered the minimum age for starting transgender medical treatment last year to 14.

Permanent transgender surgery isn't typically offered until 18 or later. And guidelines recommend thorough psychological evaluation before gender-affirming treatment begins.

  1. One cannot perform a “transgender surgery.” Whereas sex – male/female – is biology, gender – masculine/feminine – is psychology. One cannot perform an anatomical surgery on a transient psyche. Whereas aside from occasional ambiguities sex is fixed prior to birth, gender is an emerging and maturing process that unfolds over time. This is why as the psyche matures, there have been so many regrets following surgeries to have ones sex comply with a transient psyche. Simply stated, anatomical alterations, i.e., sexual surgeries, are a counter-intuitive approach to the transient nature of gender dysphoria.

  2. “while research suggests the…” What? You can’t cite the “research?? I noticed that in a lot of AI articles. Sounds much like RINO speak

  3. If this isn’t the greatest form of child abuse I don’t know what is. How can any rational person believe a CHILD can know let alone decide what they want in the formative years of life?
    it is evil personified.

  4. Well, the role of the steroid hormones is becoming better and better understood, yet even so, we don’t have a clue as to many of their functions. For example, estrogens are present in both males and females, and even in males they seem to play a role in bone elongation and development. As for the synthetic mimickers of steroids used as puberty blockers, we may not elucidate their long-term effects for another 25 years. These doctors using transsexuals as guinea pigs or lab rats are meddling with substances of unknown effects and potentialities.

  5. Those psych exams don’t questionothers’ views of the patient’s beliefs at all, & are usually subtly pushing for the change as well. There’s much I could’ve told my sibling’s psychiatrist about the 1st 5 yrs, which children seldom recall, since I was 9 at the time that baby was born, & was a primary care giver through those early yrs, about the family dynamic that influenced such beliefs. But I was never asked.
