Report: Senior Democrat Senator Dianne Feinstein Hospitalized

-

Senator Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) has reportedly been hospitalized after tripping in San Fransisco per reports from TMZ.

The 90-year-old Senator has struggled with various health issues over the last year. She was absent from the Senate for nearly 3 months earlier this year dealing with shingles, Ramsay Hunt syndrome, and encephalitis.

The longest-serving female Senator has faced numerous calls to step down from her position over health and age concerns. Earlier this week, Fox News reported that California lawmakers had ceded power of attorney to her daughter.

It's unclear what injuries Sen. Feinstein suffered at this time.

California Reps. Adam Schiff, Katie Porter, and Barbara Lee announced their bids for Feinstein's Senate seat earlier this year.

  1. Maybe they can set up a hospital bed in the senate so she can still perform her duties.

Or at least be physically present during roll call.
