The sentencing followed Ibarra’s conviction earlier in the day on all 10 charges related to the case. The trial captivated public attention, with emotional moments marking the proceedings, including a powerful statement from Riley’s mother addressing the court.
During the trial, prosecutors presented damning evidence, including testimony from Ibarra’s former roommate. The roommate revealed that Ibarra, a documented member of the violent Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua, received a government-sponsored flight to Georgia. It was there that he encountered Riley, leading to the deadly 18-minute struggle during which he attempted to rape her before ultimately killing her.

As Newsweek reports:
As Jose Ibarra’s trial resumed in Athens, Georgia, it emerged that the 26-year-old illegal immigrant was a reported member of the notorious gang, alongside at least one of his brothers.
The gang was thrust into the national conversation surrounding immigration after a viral video surfaced on social media, depicting armed members storming an apartment complex in Aurora, Colorado. Since then, TdA’s presence has been reported across the country.
The Department of Homeland Security reportedly did not respond to Newsweek‘s request for a comment.
Daniel Penny is facing 15 years in prison for coming to the aid of NYC subway riders. Meanwhile, members of Tren de Aragua armed with AR-15s attack police and are released in the Bronx. Make it make sense?!?!?

I have a great idea. Fly him over Venezuela at about 30,000 feet, tie a note around his neck and throw him out, no parachute of course. I don’t want to pay for him to live the rest of his life, and I imagine many others feel the same way.
Why do we have to feed that Rat??
NOW WHAT?
He’ll be imprisoned for who knows how long, his housing, clothing, food, medical expenses, and entertainment to be paid for by innocent taxpayers.
This is what’s known as justice under the Constitutional Republic’s CRIMINAL Justice System, juxtaposed with the Bible Criminal JUSTICE System.
Under a biblical government, convicted capital criminals are put to death immediately following conviction, per Ecclesiastes 8:11, etc.
Non-capital criminals are required to pay two to five times restitution (depending upon the nature of their crime) to their *victims,* per Exodus 22:1-4, etc. If a thief is unable to pay the required restitution, he’s to be sold into indentured servitude until his debt is paid.
If he refuses to pay restitution, his contempt of court becomes a capital crime per Deuteronomy 17:9-13, for which he’s to be put to death expeditiously. Unless a thief has a death wish, he’ll pay restitution.
Perfect, just as King David depicted it in Psalm 19:7-11.
Under such as system, crime would be all but unheard of, and there would no need for tax-paid-for prisons, from which criminals are typically put back on the streets to continue their crime sprees.

So now the tax payers are stuck with providing this dirt bag with essentially a life of luxury for decades.
HOW ABOUT THE DEATH PENALTY? FORGET THE LIFE SENTENCE. MAKE HIM EARN HIS KEEP IN JAIL IF DEATH PENALTY IS NNOT USED.
Even after watching the justice system fail Americans for 4 years, I am still almost speechless. Penny is the hero on the subway and charged with murder, and O’biden and harris brought in more criminals, whether actually criminals or just walking into our country with no vetting, and drug, sex, and child trafficking (325 thousand children still missing). This is why we wanted President Trump back. In 2015 he warned us that this would happen. He was right again. Mass deportation and build the wall.
These people have to understand that coming here is illegal so don’t cause yourselves to be lifelong residents in prison They also must realize we are not going to allow this kind of thing any longer The weak democrats have caused the murders and rapes beat downs This is our country and it doesn’t make any difference where you come from When you are here you will follow our laws I think there will be much less work for the CBP and they will be able to stand their watch without the worry of 25,000 illegals heading toward you I know that most of our citizens are very thankful for the hard work and the efforts made to stop whatever you could Thank you
