President Donald Trump announced late Saturday that the United States Air Force dropped bombs on three Iranian nuclear facilities, marking America’s official entry into the week‑old Iran–Israel war.
Initial reports indicate the strikes hit nuclear facilities at Fordow, Natanz, and a site near Isfahan.
According to The Wall Street Journal (WSJ), U.S. B‑2 stealth bombers equipped with GBU‑57 bunker‑buster bombs were used in the operation, confirmed by a U.S. official and deployment movements.
The GBU‑57 bombs are designed to penetrate deep underground — ideal for disabling fortified nuclear sites like Fordow and Natanz.

On Wednesday, Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said his country wouldn’t surrender and warned any U.S. military intervention would bring irreparable consequences.
This marks the first time U.S. bombers have struck Iranian territory in this conflict, signaling a significant escalation and a shift from support to active participation.
While Iran has threatened missile and drone strikes against U.S. bases in the Middle East in anticipation of possible American involvement, the Islamic Republic’s traditional defenses have been severely degraded by systematic Israeli strikes.
