Team USA rallied from behind to defeat Canada, 2-1, in overtime to win the gold medal in the women’s hockey final at the 2026 Milan-Cortina Winter Olympics.
Canada opened the scoring in the second period when Kristin O’Neill tallied a shorthanded goal to give her team a 1-0 lead.
With just over two minutes remaining in regulation, U.S. captain Hilary Knight tied the game with a deflection in front of the net — her 15th career Olympic goal, making her the leading American scorer in women’s Olympic hockey history.
