A large tornado touched down in New Orleans' Lower Ninth Ward earlier tonight. The twister was recorded on a local new station's tower camera.
Major power outages are ongoing in New Orleans and neighboring Westbank in Jefferson Parish.
A high-end EF-3 tornado (136-165 mph) ravaged parts of the same area nine months ago.

As of 6:10 p.m. (ET), no casualties from this storm have been reported.
Heavy rains have followed the twister, leading the National Weather Service to issue a flash flood warning for New Orleans, Metairie and Kenner, Louisiana, until 8:30 p.m. (ET).
