Vice President Kamala Harris once again showcased a different accent, this time during a speech in Detroit, Michigan. The California and Canada-raised politician has adopted this accent multiple times in the past month.
“You betta thank a union memba for sick leave. You betta thank a union memba for paid leave. You betta thank a union memba for vacation time because what we know…” Harris said during her speech.
From there, it arguably got worse:
Earlier in the day, Harris successfully avoided having to answer reporters’ questions on key policy issues. In the 43 days since taking Joe Biden’s position at the head of the Democratic Party, Harris has held no press conferences.
In her only sit-down interview with CNN, Harris assured viewers that her “values haven’t changed,” despite the fact that many of her policies seem to have shifted significantly.
Last week, while speaking to a voter in Savannah, Georgia, Harris shared an anecdote about preparing collard greens for a friend’s Christmas party. “I would make so many greens that I’d need to wash them in the bathtub,” she said.
Reality court show star Judge Joe Brown quickly criticized Harris, accusing her of blatant pandering.
