Ohio Gov. Announces Bomb Threats In Springfield Touted By Media Have All Been Hoaxes

Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine (R) announced on Monday that the 33 “bomb threats” against schools in Springfield, Ohio, “have all been hoaxes” and have originated from overseas. “None of these had any validity at all,” the governor said. Pressure is now mounting on the establishment press to apologize to former President Donald Trump and his running mate, Sen. JD Vance (R-OH).

“At least 33 separate bomb threats, each one of which has been responded to, and each one of whom has been found as a hoax,” DeWine said. “So, 33 threats, 33 hoaxes. I want to make that very, very clear. None of these had any validity at all.” We know that people are very concerned…but we have moved resources into Springfield. I want to say to the parents in Springfield, these hoaxes, these threats, have all been hoaxes. None of them have panned out. We have people, unfortunately, overseas, who are taking these actions. Some of them are coming from one particular country…we think that this is one more opportunity to mess with the United States and they’re continuing to do that. We cannot let the bad guys win.”

Since last week’s debate where former President Trump shared claims of migrants stealing and eating pets in the small Ohio town, mainstream media pundits have hammered his campaign, accusing them of racism, and holding him responsible for the reports of bomb threats in Ohio.

One of the moderators’ live “fact checks” (that an ABC whistleblower insists were pre-planned and coordinated with the Harris campaign for their benefit) was used to dispute the claim that pets were being eaten in the migrant community.

David Muir said, “I just want to clarify here, you bring up Springfield, Ohio. And ABC News did reach out to the city manager there. He told us there have been no credible reports of specific claims of pets being harmed, injured or abused by individuals within the immigrant community.”

In an interview with vice presidential candidate JD Vance, Dana Bash asserted that only two 911 calls within the last year were about pets being eaten, and the police couldn’t find any evidence to back up the claims. According to the Ohio governor, none of the bomb threats have been credible, prompting many conservative commentators to demand apologies from members of the media that tried to blame the Trump-Vance ticket for inviting violence to the town and specifically the migrant community.

Following the second assassination attempt on former President Trump, many liberal media pundits went as far as blaming his “rhetoric” for people trying to kill him, specifically pointing to Springfield. MSNBC Host Nicolle Wallace said, ““We were talking about a community in Ohio, where the children, two elementary schools and middle schools were closed because of bomb threats, where a bunch of older students, college-aged students were learning virtually because the folks that ran those institutions didn’t feel like they could secure them after this racist smear about Haitian Americans eating cats and dogs.” She then continued, referencing political violence in general, “The connection between the language and the guns and the action is undeniable.”

The governor also defended the migrant community, telling CBS, “These Haitians came in here to work because there were jobs, and they filled a lot of jobs. And if you talk to employers, they’ve done a very, very good job and they work very, very hard.”
