What did Massachusetts do now?
Governor Maura Healey and her liberal allies in the legislature passed “An Act to Modernize Gun Laws.” As you can imagine, there was no modernization in the bill. It was just a complete infringement of our Second Amendment rights.
The 116-page law has no provisions to address violent crime by criminals or increase penalties for crimes committed with firearms. None! However, it does mandate law-abiding citizens to full registration of all guns, including muzzle loaders. It enforces burdensome licensing on stores while it bans magazines over 10 rounds. The law also requires a live-fire test, and it establishes multiple government registration and tracking databases, including one for lawful gun owners and another for issuing firearm serial numbers.
This law is a complete infringement of our fundamental freedoms guaranteed by both the U.S. and Massachusetts Constitutions.
How flawed is the law? The legislature has already suspended the registration portion of the bill passed in July for 18 months until they can figure out how to do it.
But, they are still pressing on the remainder of the new law.
The real-world impact will be devastating to sportsmen, gun store owners and Second Amendment supporters. It is estimated that 400 gun stores will have to close in Massachusetts due to not being able to sell long guns. Worse yet, law abiding citizens have become felons for owning guns overnight.
Fortunately, in the birthplace of liberty, the Civil Rights Coalition was formed to fight back. The 800-member grassroots organization has been collecting signatures since mid-September to suspend the law and to put the issue on the ballot.
As momentum for the signature drive built, last week Governor Healey reached back to sign an emergency preamble on the law to put it into effect before the Coalition could submit the signatures to suspend the law for 2 years. That’s right; something that was not an emergency in July has become one in October. Talk about a threat to democracy!
Despite Healey’s effort to derail the signature drive, the Coalition has collected enough signatures to get the issue on the ballot. The people will have their say. Unfortunately, due to Healey they cannot suspend the law, so gun owners, don’t come to Massachusetts. Add this infringement to the reason why Massachusetts is losing 1,100 people per week to other states.

The Communists formerly Democrats desire to take over America are pushing gun laws to finally disarm the citizens.When civil war begins there are only illegals,criminals and government that will be armed and you can imagine the outcome.
It sounds more like 116 pages of toilet paper to me, and she can stick the whole pile of paperwork where the sun don’t shine! Here’s an idea for a better law; there should be a law severely penalizing those who attempt to rewrite or destroy the Constitution.

Actually passing bills that may violate the Second Amendment should have consequences. Lawmakers KNOW about the Second Amendment and surely they have legal staff that can explain it to them so that a ten year old can understand. None of these bills should become law until they have a judicial review.
Throw all those demoncrates out of office our Gun Rights must be Protected from these vile Un-American people politicians, anyone trying to Change, Twist, Distort, Ignore, Our Constitution as Written must be removed immediately from any positions in public, or government jobs of any kind
The So-called Federal Government is just trying to totally disarm all Americans so they can take full control over us! They need to be put in prison for Treason for violating the US Constitution!
