Thom Yorke, the lead singer of the famous British rock band Radiohead, was in the middle of a solo concert in Melbourne, Australia when a protestor in the crowd started heckling him over the ongoing war in Gaza.
In a video recorded by a fan in the audience, Yorke can be seen at the microphone pausing while someone yelled in the background about the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, asking him: “How can you be silent?” After a few moments — and after another member of the audience yelled “Ignore him!” — Yorke addressed the protestor, saying: “Come up here and say that.”

“Come up here and say that. Right here. Come on. Come up on the f**king stage and say what you want to say,” [said Yorke.]
Pointing at the heckler, he continued: “Don’t stand there like a coward. Come here and say it.”
“Come on. You want to piss on everybody’s night? Come on,” Yorke adds, before saying, “OK, you do. See you later then.”
That was when Yorke left, leaving an audibly upset crowd shouting for him to come back.
Radiohead has previously come under scrutiny for the band’s decision to perform in Tel Aviv, according to CNN. The Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) organization urged Radiohead in 2017 to boycott Israel over its conduct in the West Bank and East Jerusalem.
At the time, the Radiohead Fans for Palestine penned open letters urging the British rock band not to perform there, saying, “Palestinians routinely have their homes destroyed and their land taken away. They are imprisoned, brutalised and killed.”
The band rejected the call, with Yorke saying, “Playing in a country is not the same as endorsing its government” and music is about “crossing borders, not building them.”

Grown-up response from Yorke. The pro-Hamas/Palestinian bullies are pushing genocide and oppression. Going along with them or listening to them makes you an accomplice. Those people would be arrested or kicked out of the venue in an earlier generation. Nowadays, in our social justice-woke society, they are encouraged and protected. This story has a predictable ending. Yorke knows that, people with intellectual and moral awareness know that. Wokesters and their Woke Government and jurisprudence don’t. I wouldn’t play their game. Edmund Burke said it best: “All that is necessary for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing.”
Should have sent his security to go bring him up on stage!!! Then throw his butt out!!!
Doesn’t matter where they play. If they bring some smiles..that’s important in today’s horrible world
