President Joe Biden and his fellow Democrats are doing their best to price Americans out of their ability to exercise their Second Amendment rights.
The Biden Administration is reportedly looking to decrease civilian access to .223 and 5.56 ammunition by nearly 30% – they seek to do this by barring the sale of excess military ammunition produced by Winchester at the Lake City Army Ammunition Plant in Independence, Missouri.
Both the .223 and 5.56 caliber rounds are standard self-defense and target shooting rounds used in AR platform firearms.

“Winchester, which operates the US Army’s Lake City ammunition plant, has been informed that it may no longer sell M855 and SS109 ammunition produced in excess of the military’s needs on the civilian market.
How would that affect the civilian supply of .223 and 5.56 ammunition? We understand that as much as 30% of the commercial market’s sales volume of .223/5.56 is produced by Lake City.
The motivation here is obvious. The Biden administration is attempting to further spike the price of ammunition, squeezing the owners of America’s favorite rifles…the scary black ones that the president assures us are only good for killing people and taking down Kevlar vest-wearing deer.
Let’s face it. Even the hapless Biden administration must realize that they don’t have any realistic prospect of getting another “assault weapons” ban through the Senate. Instead, they’re doing the next best thing. They’re trying to make shooting most AR-15 rifles as expensive as possible for Americans who own between 20 and 25 million AR platform guns“
This move should be a jarring wake-up call for any law-abiding gun owners who may not yet be paying attention to the radical moves being pushed by Democrats.
Earlier this week, Virginia Congressman Don Beyer introduced H.R.8051 – legislation that would impose an excise tax of 1,000% on sales of “large capacity ammunition feeding devices and semiautomatic assault weapons.”
Although the text of the bill is not yet publicly available, Beyer has already gained the support of 36 of his Democratic colleagues who have signed on to cosponsor the radical proposal.

A AR (Attack Riffle) IS designed to Kill People Not Big Game. If You saw the Carnage that just 1 of these rounds could do to the human body, especially the damage to a child. The Uvaldy Undertakers had to reconstruct Half if the Young Body. Some they had to reconstruct the Back Half of there Heads.
AR does NOT mean “Attack Rifle”, nor does it mean “Assault Rifle”, some people call it; it is the brand name ArmaLite Rifle Company, founded in 1954. The AR-15 was designated the M-16 when the military got it, and only the M-16 is fully automatic from the company. For civilian use, the AR-15 is SEMI-automatic, the same as for most handguns.
Oh, please! The “AR” in the name AR-15 stands for Armalite Rifle, the company that designed the rifle. Please stop proliferating the lie that the ignorant (or evil) anti-gun people constantly foist upon the public.
It was not designed to kill people. It was designed to be one gun that would be suitable for a variety of people of differing sizes, strengths and abilities to use, hence the adjustable stock, the small caliber (which results in less recoil), the modularity that allows easy mounting and changing of optics, lights and other accessories.
Any bullet that exits a human body will cause more damage as it exits than is apparent at the entry point. And of course, the smaller the body being hit, the more traumatic the damage done. That is why a .223 round is not normally considered suitable for taking game as large as a deer or elk. It is not powerful enough to kill game humanely with one shot. Since the typical human body does not have as much muscle mass to absorb the shock of a bullet as a game animal’s body has, the damage to organs will be greater.
Finally, as has been said repeatedly, if only people would do their research and learn the truth rather than falling for the liberal media’s lies, the AR-15 is NOT a “weapon of war” and no self-respecting member of the military would go into battle carrying an AR-15 if he expected to come out of the battle alive. The AR-15 is a relatively small caliber firearm that fires one round per trigger pull. It cannot fire on full-auto because it is not capable of select-fire.

AR stands for Armalite Rifle, the name of the company that developed the rifle. It was designed to be versatile, modular and affordable. The telescoping stock makes it adjustable to fit multiple people without needing permanent modifications and without requiring the services of a gunsmith. The Picatinney Rail along the top makes it easy to mount, change and adjust optics, lights and other accessories. The small caliber reduces felt recoil, making it comfortable and accurate when used by somebody of small stature. It also makes it unsuitable for hunting large game animals or for use in war. The STANDARD 30-round magazine makes it efficient since the shooter doesn’t need to waste time reloading between target changes at a public range or in the middle of a stage in the course of fire during a competition.
And finally, any exit wound, no matter the caliber or type of bullet, will be more gruesome than the entry wound. There are so many variables involved that prediction of the precise damage inflicted is difficult if not impossible.
The AR-15 platform is not, repeat NOT! a weapon of war. It’s a civilian, semi-automatic firearm that shoots one round per trigger pull. It looks mean and scary but is no faster to shoot than any other semi-automatic firearm.
Do some real research instead of falling for the lies of the anti-gunners and liberal media hacks. Go to a range and try one.
