If a recent plea to his supporters is any indication, Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascón is worried about his political future.

From witnessing the highest number of homicides in 15 years to brazen train robberies, residents find themselves on edge these days.
Not to mention furious.
The anger isn’t confined to one group or political party, either — as a growing recall effort of Gascón shows. (RELATED: Here Are 15 Crimes Biden’s New US Attorney Won’t Prosecute)
Notably, one of the recall’s biggest proponents is Deputy L.A. District Attorney Jon Hatami, as Fox News notes:
“Today really is, I believe, the beginning of the end of George Gascon,” Hatami said after the Recall campaign submitted 717,000 signatures supporting a vote to remove the DA. The group needs the Los Angeles County Registrar of Voters to verify nearly 567,000 to trigger a recall vote.
“People are scared. They’re concerned for their safety,” Hatami said. “We have a city and a county that is lawless. We have a city and a county where people feel they can do whatever they want and not be held accountable for their actions.”
Crime against children, people of color and low-income communities has skyrocketed under Gascon’s leadership, Hatami said. Since this time last year, violent crime in Los Angeles has increased by 8%, while total arrests decreased by nearly 12%, according to the city’s police department.
“We all have a right to public safety. We all have a right to be safe in our homes,” Hatami said.

I signed said petition early on
If Newsom’s recall is anything to go by, there will not be any change at all. The DA is “protected” by the criminal element, so naturally he is soft on crime.
Because Newscum is a major part of their problem in California.
I wish these articles were more in depth. I feel high and dry after reading them, this one included. PS Progressive policies always fail. Hard.
The sooner they get rid of that loser the better.
Do you really think politicians really care what we think? The only time we matter is when it’s time to re-elect them ! Meanwhile, we are told to sit in the corner, shut up and allow those who are so much more knowledgeable on every subject than voters take care of our every need.
I’m not saying recalls don’t work, I’m just saying I have never lived anyplace where one did. I do not have much faith in them for that reason.
