Iran has reportedly halting oil tanker traffic in the Strait of Hormuz following Israeli strikes on over 100 Hezbollah targets in Lebanon, including Beirut, on Wednesday morning.
Only two vessels — the Greek-owned NJ Earth and the Liberia-flagged Daytona Beach — have successfully transited the Strait of Hormuz since the ceasefire was announced, highlighting the continued disruption to global shipping.
The limited movement comes amid uncertainty over Iran’s commitment to the agreement, with officials signaling that Tehran could reconsider the ceasefire if tensions escalate further.
Roughly one-fifth of the world’s oil supply historically passed through the strait each day, along with an estimated 20–30% of global ammonia and 30–35% of urea exports — key components of the global agricultural supply chain.
The route connects energy producers in the Persian Gulf with major markets in Asia, Europe, and beyond. (RELATED: Israel Says US-Iran Ceasefire Doesn’t Apply To Lebanon As Strikes Continue)
BREAKING: The passage of oil tankers through the Strait of Hormuz has been stopped, per Iran's Fars News Agency.

Iran says it will withdraw from the ceasefire if Israel continues attacks on Lebanon and it is preparing potential responses.
The U.S.-Iran cease-fire was announced with the goal of pausing direct conflict and reopening safe passage through the strait.
Estimates indicate that between 300 and more than 1,000 vessels have been delayed or stranded in the region, as tanker traffic has fallen by roughly 95%. Many ships have anchored in the Gulf of Oman amid ongoing uncertainty.
Iran has permitted selective transit through the Strait of Hormuz, creating what it describes as a “safe corridor” for ships from countries it views as friendly, including China, Russia, and India. Passage typically requires prior approval and verification procedures near Larak Island.

Latest Iran Promise…..
Did not even last One Day!
We have played this game for 47 years.
The agreement between the U.S. and Iran specified that the struggle between Israel and Hezbollah isn’t part of that ceasefire.
It included ONLY the U.S., Israel … and Iran. It’s not about what is going on between Israel and Hezbollah in Lebanon.
Iran closed off the strait and the ‘war’ between them and us WILL continue. Their fault! THEY did that!
This is just an Iranian ‘word-play’ that they are trying to use to be able to say that WE broke the ceasefire.
NO WAY! They are already breaking their word!
But Iran seems to believe that world opinion will be against the U.S. because of this.
And we are supposed to trust their word ever again?
My feelings on the subject …….. SATURATE BOMB THEIR MILITARY, AND THE ELECTRICAL SUBSTATIONS THAT ‘FEED’ THEM, INTO RUBBLE!
Not the power plants, themselves, that ‘feed’ the civilian populace … but those substations.
DO IT NOW! That’s all that they will understand!
This will certainly shorten this ‘war’.
The Iranian’s rope-a-dope routine continues! Now they have two weeks for China and Russia to rearm them.
Stop trying to negotiate with them, and just finish the job we undertook when we attacked them.
I would suppose that any excuse for abrogating the ceasefire is good enough for Iran.
They may believe that we’ll still keep our part of the agreement, although they have definitely NOT.
The Israel – Hezbollah situation was NOT part of the ceasefire deal.
In fact, it was clearly stipulated in the agreement as NOT being part of it!
Now it’s OUR turn!
On, sorry. I accidentally sent two comments. I forgot that I sent the first one.
