Based on his latest efforts, Biden, who immediately paused construction on the wall and left it in disrepair since, seems to now be saying the border wall former President Trump built was a good idea and necessary after all.
This is in stark contrast to his campaign promise that “not one more foot of border wall” would be built during his administration.
In late July, Team Biden quietly authorized new border wall construction to close four gaps in the border wall in an open area of southern Arizona near Yuma, one of the busiest sectors for illegal crossings. (RELATED: Republican Governors Work Overtime to Help Secure Southern Border)
According to The Intercept:
…U.S. Customs and Border Protection confirmed that work on the border wall that began under Trump is revving back up under Biden. In an online presentation Wednesday, CBP — the largest division of the Department of Homeland Security and home to the Border Patrol… confirmed that the wall will remain a permanent fixture of the Southwest for generations to come.
It added: “The resumed operations will range from repairing gates and roads to filling gaps in the wall that were left following the pause on construction that Biden initiated in January 2021.”
As National Review notes:
It is fair to question whether the actions by DHS and CBP really count as “the Biden administration rev[ving] up work on completing Donald Trump's signature project,” as the Intercept characterizes it. Filling in gaps does not quite align with Trump's “big, beautiful wall” rhetoric from the campaign trail of 2016, or Trump's 2020 contention that the wall was “almost finished.” A lot of the work during the Trump years was replacing old fencing that had holes or was falling down; as of January 2021, “only 80 miles of new barriers have been built where there were none before – that includes 47 miles of primary wall, and 33 miles of secondary wall built to reinforce the initial barrier.”
But the DHS decision also represents Biden backtracking again from his January 20, 2021, proclamation that “building a massive wall that spans the entire southern border is not a serious policy solution. It is a waste of money that diverts attention from genuine threats to our homeland security . . . It shall be the policy of my Administration that no more American taxpayer dollars be diverted to construct a border wall.”
The number of migrant encounters at the southern border rose to over 200,000 in August, and illegal migrant arrests recently passed a record-breaking two million, with an increase in migrants coming from Venezuela, Nicaragua and Cuba, which DHS officials said was driving a “new wave of migration” across the hemisphere. Team Biden has defended the move at the time as a safety measure to protect migrants, but critics note a political motive as well.
NBC News reported in July:
Democratic U.S. Sen. Mark Kelly of Arizona, who is seeking his party nomination's next week to defend the seat in November, has pressed the Biden administration to close the gaps, calling them a challenge for officials trying to secure the border.
Former Acting DHS Deputy Secretary Ken Cuccinelli argued on Fox News Tuesday that this is only being done to help vulnerable Sen. Mark Kelly (D-Ariz.) in his Senate race against Republican Blake Masters. (RELATED: Arizona Department of Education Directs Students to Trans Online Chat Rooms)
“They're going to do that certainly through November 9th when Mark Kelly's reelection campaign will be over in Arizona. And that is why they are doing it. They're targeting a particular election in a particular state.” ALD

Today’s open-border agenda isn’t anywhere near the biggest border threat to America.
“For I, saith Yahweh, will be unto her a wall of fire round about, and will be the glory in the midst of her.” (Zechariah 2:5)
Without Yahweh, God of the Bible, as America’s principle wall of protection, the border will never be completely secure.
Compounding America’s border problems is that America has become so ungodly that, not only is God not her wall of protection, but He’s become her greatest enemy. America officially rejected Yahweh as her Sovereign and thus His immutable moral law as supreme in 1789 when she replaced Him with We the People as her Sovereign and His moral law (including the First Commandment as America’s principle border and immigration law) for the biblically seditious Constitution as supreme, per Article 6.
It was then that America began her suicidal trek to the precipice of moral depravity and destruction she presently find herself teetering on, being pushed over the edge by alleged Christians and patriots who are bent on promoting the genesis of her national woes as the solution to the problems created thereby.
“[B]ecause they have … trespassed against my law … they have sown the wind, and they shall reap the whirlwind….” (Hosea 8:1, 7)
Today’s America is reaping the inevitable ever-intensifying whirlwind (including her border and immigration woes) resulting from the wind sown by the constitutional framers and fanned by today’s hoodwinked Christians and patriots who have been bamboozled into believing today’s whirlwind can be dissipated by appealing to the wind responsible for spawning the whirlwind.

That is great. When is it going to start and when is he going to tell everybody that he is closing the border and no more illegal immigrants will be allowed in this country, so don’t come to our border unless you want to get turned around to go back to your country and if caught you will be punished by our laws.
The damage to our nation is as plain as day and in future will become horrific and tragic. Did it take two years for this bonehead to wake up and smell the coffee?
