Obama-era Official Succumbs to Injuries Following Turbulent Flight

The White House has identified the woman who passed away from injuries sustained from a turbulent private flight has been identified as former Obama administration official, Dana Hyde.

On Friday, Hyde was flying with two crew members and three passengers on a Conexon-owned jet from Keene, New Hampshire to Leesburg, Virginia when the plane encountered turbulence and was forced to make an emergency landing outside of Hartford, Connecticut.

A similar flight indecent recently left seven passages with injuries…

Hyde’s death follows a similar incident last week in which seven Lufthansa airline passengers traveling from Texas were hospitalized with injuries after their plane encountered extreme turbulence.

Hyde was taken to Saint Francis Medical Center in Hartford, where she was pronounced dead.

According to the Independent, Hyde served the Obama administration for eight years filling various roles in the Office of Management and Budget and State Department. Hyde also served as CEO of the Millennium Challenge Corporation.

Prior to her work with the Obama administration Hyde served as Special Assistant to the Deputy Attorney General during Bill Clinton’s tenure as president and also served as counsel to the 9/11 Commission.

The National Security Transportation Board (NTSB) is investigating the accident. An agency spokesperson told The New York Times that the NTSB is in the process of interviewing the flight’s crew members and other passengers and has taken possession of the cockpit voice recorder and flight data recorders.

NBC News reports that five people were aboard the private jet, which is owned by Conexon, a company based in Kansas City, Missouri, according to a Federal Aviation Administration database.

“We can confirm that the aircraft was owned by Conexon and that Dana Hyde was the wife of Conexon partner Jonathan Chambers,” company spokesperson Abby Carere said in an email. “Jonathan and his son were on the flight also and not injured in the incident. “

The only injury of all on board. Strange, to say the least.
