South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem signed a new executive order while speaking at the National Rifle Association’s 152nd Annual Meeting in Indianapolis, Indiana on Friday afternoon.
Executive Order 2023-04 will “protect the God-given right to keep and bear arms from being infringed upon by financial institutions,” Noem said to the packed auditorium.
“South Dakota is setting the standard for the most 2nd Amendment friendly state in the nation. But it’s not just the media and big government that are attacking our rights. Now, we have seen banking institutions go after law-abiding gun owners. Well, not on my watch. I won’t stand for it, not in South Dakota.”
Noem’s time as Governor of South Dakota has been chock full of decisive moves to protect the Second Amendment, including signing constitutional carry as her first bill upon taking office, and eliminating fees for concealed carry permits last year. Today she continued that track record with was signing of this order.

Noem was also awarded the Hunters Leadership Award by the NRA at the organization’s Hunter’s Banquet on Thursday night.
Noem was the only female elected official to take the stage at the Legislative Leadership Forum during the NRA’s Annual Convention. Other sitting Governors who spoke to the crowd included Indiana Governor Eric Holcomb and New Hampshire Governor Chris Sununu.

Now there’s a true American. Don’t come to Michigan they have a nazi regime running that state. They don’t go by the constitution or laws. Governor works for Soros not the people. Elections were rigged because the democrats are in control of both houses. Destroying Michigan every day.
“It is about ensuring the government respects the right and liberty of citizens”. I agree with her statement but it is very clear the govt has NO respect for the citizens of this Country. this is very apparent with the current administration and half of Congress.
More like 2/3 of Congress when you take into account the numerous RINOs including about 12 senators that nearly always vote with dems on the most important legislation.
Was extremely surprised that the New Hampshire governor spoke there, he’s a well known RINO.
I’m from Indiana and want to name Todd Young as one of those unreliable, RINO, republicans who voted with the democrats on key issues in the last couple of years. And our governor who is on his way out in the next election was at this convention speaking too. He also went to Davos to be part of the WEF and New World Order shenanigans. Let the time run out on his signature for permit-less carry. I don’t know what’s next for these two but I think retirement suits their actions.
