Ray Epps, a former U.S. Marine who sparked conspiracy theories regarding the Jan. 6th Capitol attack, is suing Fox News.
Epps is suing Fox News in the Delaware Superior Court over what he alleges is the outlet’s broadcasting of falsehoods about him.
In his lawsuit, Epps alleges the network and former host Tucker Carlson knowingly promoted what he calls “destructive conspiracy theories” about his involvement in the riot, specifically that he was a federal agent who spurred on the violence to tarnish those involved. Epps’s suit outlines how he and his wife came to believe the 2020 election falsehoods being promoted by former President Trump and broadcast on Fox News in the wake of the vote. The lawsuit says they were “persuaded by the lies broadcast by Fox asserting that the election had been stolen to exercise their perceived responsibilities as patriotic citizens to gather in the nation’s Capitol on January 6, 2021 to ‘stop the steal.’”
Epps traveled to Washington, D.C. days before the Capitol attack and “vocally supported and encouraged peaceful protests” Jan. 6, according to his lawsuit.
In a statement to the Times, Epps’s attorney said, “Ray is taking the next steps to vindicate his rights by seeking accountability for Fox’s lies that have caused him and Robyn so much harm.”
It’s unclear how much money Epps is seeking in damages.

From the facts that I see, Ray Epps caused the RAID on Washington DC and should be arrested and prosecuted accordingly…
“Trump made me do it.” Sounds like Epps is pursuing a false narrative forced on him by the thoroughly corrupt DOJ to avoid jail time and further malicious prosecution.
Sounds more like Epps was a Federal Informant and was promoting and encouraging unlawful actions on part of his handlers in the DOJ. Just saying…

I saw his interview some time back. The real question that was never asked or answered was: “why were you not charged”?
Others were charged for much less, detained in solitary without lawyers for months. One was Matthew Perna who did nothing wrong, charged with criminal trespass while entering an open door into the Capitol, sat alone in a cell for a year left wondering why. He took his life after his spirit was broken.

Yet Epps walks free seeking millions in damages from those reporting the truth on video of what he did leading up to January 6th.
He’s on video openly encouraging entry into the Capital. So much so that others around him called him a fed . All on tape. He’s just suing in hopes to settle out of court like they did with Dominion.
