In an emotional address invoking Pearl Harbor and 9/11, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy addressed members of Congress this morning from Kyiv.

The besieged president’s aim? To provide Ukraine with more lethal military aid to resist the Russian invasion of his country.
Zelenskyy ended his speech with a direct appeal to President Biden, saying “You are the leader of your grand nation. I wish you to be the leader of the world. Being the leader of the world means to be the leader of peace.”
As CNN reports:
The Ukrainian President expressed gratitude to Biden for aid the US has delivered so far, but he argued that more assistance is desperately needed. Zelensky specifically reiterated calls for the US to help enforce a no-fly zone in Ukraine to protect civilians and provide fighter aircraft that the Ukrainians can use to defend themselves, requests that have met with resistance.
The speech featured a short video with harrowing scenes from the war-torn country graphically depicting the brutal and deadly toll of the Russian invasion. At the end, the screen read: “close the sky over Ukraine.”

Although Zelenskyy recently admitted Ukraine won’t be joining NATO, he persisted in calls for a no-fly zone.
Fox News adds:
Zelenskyy said Russia has “turned the Ukrainian sky into a source of death for thousands of people,” saying there are missiles and “countless bombs.”
“They use drones to kill us with precision,” he said. “This is a terror that Europe has not seen for 80 years, and we are asking for a reply—for an answer from this terror from the whole world.”
“If this is too much to ask, we offer an alternative,” he concluded.
As of this morning, the United States and its NATO allies have committed to sending more surface-to-air guided weapons to Ukraine, including Russian-made missiles with a higher range than the Stringer portable air defense missile system.

How I wish we had a President like Trump who would be completely engaged and a human with ability to care but instead he rests in Delaware. No one is buying his stupid remarks. Come on Citizens. No more believing his lies. If I had voted for Biden it would have been the shame of my vote.
If I had voted for the Democratic ticket I would not only be embarrassed that I had been part of bringing this clown show into power to represent, much less lead, the most powerful, influential country in the world; I would feel so terribly ashamed that those same “leaders” were allowing a peaceful nation to be overrun and the massacre of innocent people. Didn’t the US do this when Hitler was killing thousands of people? Didn’t we know what he was doing and we chose not to do anything for far too long? How many people must die this time at the hands of another madman before the US takes action, action that makes a difference? This is the time that we must show the villains of the world that we have the way, the means and the testicular fortitude to stand up to bullies who would run over all of us. Yes, I know there will be a price. There is also a price to do nothing.
