Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent acknowledged Wednesday that he threatened to “kick ass” during a heated confrontation last year, while firmly denying reports that he threatened to punch the now-acting Director of National Intelligence “in the face.”
The unusual exchange emerged during a Senate Finance Committee hearing, where Sen. Thom Tillis (R-NC) pressed Bessent about reports surrounding a confrontation between the two Trump administration officials during the summer of 2025.
According to Bessent, one key detail in the widely circulated account was inaccurate.
Seijah Drake was born in Boston, MA, where she developed a penchant for writing early on and a passion for politics in college. After college she worked briefly for a conservative media in New York before relocating to the Greater D.C. Area to pursue a career in political marketing. She now resides in the free state of Florida.
ANALYSIS – Prepare for BLM-Hamas chaos in the street this summer. The extremely wealthy, former founder of the infamous Blackwater security firm, ex-Navy SEAL and sometimes shadow advisor to former president Donald Trump, is now “Off Leash.”
Or at least that’s the name of his new podcast.
According to his marketing of the podcast, he “brings a unique and invaluable perspective to today’s increasingly volatile world.” And that is likely very true.
I’m generally a Prince fan and have met him. I tend to agree with him on domestic policies but didn’t like his cozying up to Chinese interests in China and overseas in 2018 via another company he helped create: Frontier Services Group.
Among the services this company provided China was the creation of an elite security training school.
But getting back to his podcast – based on some of Prince’s more outrageous commentary, a few might argue that he is more “unhinged,” than “off leash.” But on other points, he is spot-on.
Most recently, he said, correctly, that the far-left Hamas terrorist-loving wing of the Democrat Party, along with the anti-police Black Lives Matter (BLM) radicals are likely to join forces for yet another violent “summer of love” this election year.
These internal violent groups could also help external terrorists or criminal groups to wreak havoc on the U.S., thanks to the vast open border created by Joe Biden and millions of unvetted illegal migrants that are still flooding our country.
And I totally agree with that assessment.
Prince argues that Iran has been funneling terror operatives into the U.S. via Venezuela, rebranding them (with legitimate passports) as Venezuelan migrants, then pushing them across our open southern border.
Prince added that local and state authorities need to prepare to quell these violent riots without help from the federal government under Biden. He said:
You get the BLM and the Hamas militias of the Democrat Party, very active in the United States this summer. When that BLM or Hamas militia shows up to start wrecking things, you show them what law and order looks like, immediately.
To Prince, as well as Trump, and me, for that matter, some of that law and order involves the massive deportation of everyone who doesn’t belong here because they entered illegally under Biden.
But that will likely have to await Trump’s return to the White House next year.
Meanwhile, some of Prince’s other “unique and invaluable perspective” allows him to go far more “off leash” to conclude that the U.S. should also “put the imperial hat back on,” and take over and directly run much of the world.
Prince also said:
If so many of these countries around the world are incapable of governing themselves, it’s time for us to just put the imperial hat back on, to say, we’re going to govern those countries … ’cause enough is enough, we’re done being invaded…
You can say that about pretty much all of Africa, they’re incapable of governing themselves.
At this point, Prince’s co-host Mark Serrano tried to rein in Prince by saying: “People on the left are going to watch this,” said Serrano, “and they’re going to say, wait a minute, Erik Prince is talking about being a colonialist again.”
Perhaps unsurprisingly, Prince responded: “Absolutely, yes,” adding that he thought this was a great concept not just for Africa but also for Latin America.
While a lot of his above-mentioned arguments are valid – too many of the countries in Africa and Latin America are massive kleptocracies – you would think Prince forgot about Iraq and Afghanistan, neither of which proved the U.S. capable of effectively running a third world country.
Maybe we should focus more on securing our border here at home and effectively neutralizing our foreign enemies abroad, rather than on draining our resources trying to colonize the rest of the world.
